Abstract:
In some embodiments, a kit may include systems allowing for clearing a biological airway. The kit may include an inner wearable system worn, during use, on a torso of a subject. The kit may include a plurality of engines which when activated apply an oscillation force to at least one treatment area of the subject. At least one of the plurality of engines may be releasably couplable to the inner wearable system. The oscillation force may be applied to at least one of the treatment areas of the subject such that the oscillation force mobilizes, during use, at least some secretions in an airway within the subject at least adjacent the treatment area. The kit may include an outer wearable system worn, during use, on a torso of a subject which when activated, adjusts the oscillation force. The kit may include one or more batteries and/or a control unit.
Abstract:
A motorized belt and roller device utilizes pressure-applying rollers to facilitate weight loss. The belt is arranged to reciprocate over an extended distance, and to apply sufficient pressure via the rollers to cause breakdown of fat cells in the abdominal region. The belt and roller device, including a moving mechanism, may be mounted on a treadmill.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a portable device and method for enhancing blood flow in a limb and for reducing the risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) formation by applying periodic squeezing forces on a limb, in particular a lower limb. The device comprises a flask-like casing box and a strap connected to opposite sides of said casing such as to form a closed loop around the limb. Said box contains machinery for actuating periodical change in the circumference of said closed loop between a contracted and a relaxed positions.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a portable device for enhancing circulation in a limb comprising at least one strap for encircling the limb, a motor and a mechanism driven by said motor for intermittently actuating a first transition from a relaxed state to a strained state of the strap and a second transition from the strained state to the relaxed state. The mechanism includes at least one energy storing element operatively disposed between the motor and the strap and at least one energy releasing mechanism coupling between the energy storing element and the strap. The energy releasing mechanism enables fast release of energy stored in said storing element and the use of the energy so released to effectuate at least one abrupt transition between said relaxed and strained states.
Abstract:
A resistance training and massage method simultaneously provides resistance training and massage. A vibrating strap is formed into a loop to extend around a body portion of a user. The strap is displaceable as the user exerts a pulling force on the strap. A motor is coupled to the strap and displaceable along with the strap as the user exerts a pulling force on the strap. The motor imparts vibration to the strap. Resistance means is coupled to the motor for elastically resisting displacement of the motor and the strap, and providing a resistance force to the pulling force exerted by the user.
Abstract:
A sleeve for use with a circulation enhancement device, including a first layer that is adapted to substantially encircle a user's limb, a second layer that is adapted to interface the circulation enhancement device, a connection between the first layer and the second layer at a preset position; and wherein the second layer is adapted to be attached to various position along the circumference of the first layer and at least partially encircle the first layer.
Abstract:
An apparatus for massaging toes having a plurality of massaging fingers which provide the massaging effect on and between the toes of a user. The massaging fingers are powered by a drive mechanism means, such as an electric motor and a motion transfer apparatus.
Abstract:
A planar body stimulating assembly that includes a plurality of rows of spheroidal silicon rubber members connected by a single cable having ends alternately pulled by a single reciprocating shock absorbing tension assembly.
Abstract:
Apparatus for rubbing and massaging the human body by means of a cloth-shaped rubbing material, which comprises a rubbing material which is disposed so as to form a surface and subdivided into a succession of webs extending substantially parallel with respect to one another, and means for driving alternate webs in one direction, the intermediate webs in opposite direction and for alternating the directions in which said webs are driven.
Abstract:
A thin and narrow vibrator belt unit for use on automatic massaging machines which make use of conventional flexible Ushaped vibrator belts serves to impart deeper massage penetration and massage concentration to a small desired area. The thin and narrow vibrator belt unit includes a thin and narrow flexible belt portion and two larger free ends. An easy attaching and intentional removal means to and from a massaging machine is an integral part of the larger free ends of the thin and narrow vibrator belt unit.
