摘要： An arm support for use in a medical procedure, comprises an arm support strap and a hand support. The arm support strap comprises a first end that is configured to pass around the arm of a patient and secure to a region of the arm support strap, a support region for supporting an arm of the patient, and a second end configured to pass across the torso of the patient to be secured so as to support the arm securely against a side of the torso in a position substantially co-planar with the torso. The hand support comprises a first region adapted to secure the hand support to the arm support strap, and a second region adapted to engage with a hand of the patient for securing an associated forearm of the patient in a supinated, externally rotated position. The support is for use in radial access procedures, securing the patient's wrist in a dorsiflexed position.

The support arrangement includes a holding bag, which on an upper side is attachable in a hanging manner to a support. The holding bag is made exclusively of textile-like material and consists of a flat cut, folded and sewn up on the upper and lower sides. The holding bag is dimensioned in such a manner that a freedom of movement is ensured for the lower arm located within it. The holding bag may be formed double-layered over the entire side facing the upper arm. The holding bag may be formed double-layered in the open side-region of the side facing the lower arm. The tapered region may have a length that corresponds approximately to a third of the overall length of the holding bag.

摘要： A pediatric arm restraint is disclosed for restricting movement of an infant's arm at the elbow. The restraint includes an inner foam pad and an outer stiff rigidifying plastic sheet, the foam pad preferably being the larger of these two components to extend beyond the edges of the plastic sheet for comfort to the infant. Both the pad and the sheet taper from a major edge to a minor edge to facilitate forming the restraint into a conical shape for use, with the major edge being adapted for placement in an infant's axilla and the minor edge fitting below the infant's elbow. The restraint is normally flat for ease in shipping and handling, but is easily bent into a generally tubular configuration, preferably a tubular-conical configuration, around an infant's arm and then secured in that position by Velcro strips.
