    摘要: An apparatus for a water resistant active exoskeleton boot includes a shin pad and one or more housings. The one or more housings enclose electronic circuitry and an electric motor that generate torque about an axis of rotation of an ankle joint of the user. A sealant is placed in contact with the one or more housings to close the one or more housings and prevent an ingress of water into the one or more housings. The apparatus includes an output shaft coupled to the electric motor and extending through a bore in a housing of the one or more housings enclosing the electric motor. The apparatus includes a seal to prevent an ingress of the water into the one or more housings. The apparatus includes a rotary encoder enclosed within the one or more housings to measure an angle of the electric motor.

    摘要: Examples include an upper joint arm for engaging a wearer's upper torso, connected to a first positive-locking element, and include a lower joint arm for engaging the wearer's upper leg body, and have a force application lever with a second positive-locking element, and a a mechanical energy store between the force application lever and the second joint arm. The first and second positive-locking element are aligned on a common axis, and are axially movable for engagement and disengagement. A safety device provides, in a mechanical engaging of the first and second positive-locking element, a corrective rotating of one or both the positive-locking elements. This rotation adjusts initial misalignments of the first positive-locking element and the second positive-locking element. The first positive-locking element and second positive-locking element, when engaged, transfer swivelling of the first joint arm relative to the second joint arm into a charging-discharging of the mechanical energy store.

    摘要: An apparatus is designed to provide support and correct form in order to perform rotator cuff strengthening exercises, either for rehabilitation or prevention of injury. In an exemplary embodiment, a cuff holds a person's elbow fixed at a position substantially perpendicular to curved plate secured to and parallel to a person's vertical (i.e., longitudinal) axis at the person's torso, which helps isolate internal and external rotation of the humerus and reduce any compensatory motions that can occur when the elbow is not supported. This optimally strengthens these important shoulder movements which in turn allows athletes to improve their upper extremity strength.

The electrode pair includes a first electrode fixed to a first surface of the housing and a second electrode fixed to a second surface of the housing, where the electrode pair is actuatable between a non-actuated and actuated states such that actuation from the non-actuated state to the actuated state directs the dielectric fluid into the expandable fluid region, expanding the expandable fluid region.
