摘要： A method and means for removing firmly affixed, binding, stuck or cemented dental restorations and appliances, which includes a substance which when held under compressive force forms strong adhesive properties between opposing surfaces sufficient to remove firmly affixed, binding, stuck or cemented dental restorations and appliances. The substance forms a strong temporary adhesive bond due to its strong adhesive properties developed under compression between the surface of the restoration or appliance to be removed and the instrumentality performing the removal, this being achieved with no tools or mechanical devices. The instrumentality, for example, comprises the jaws of the patient which are used to apply compressing force and a forceful rapid jerking reverse removal pressure to the restoration or appliance by the muscular force of the patient's jaw opening.

摘要： Side walls of an appliance removal device are joined by a transverse member which separates two cavities. One cavity receives a wax like compound which is pressed over a dental appliance. Grooves and orifices are formed in the side walls of that cavity. Flanges extend from the side walls into the other cavity to receive an impulse force from a tool positioned in that cavity. A pin on the other cavity serves to lock the tool in place with 10 degrees of freedom. Flanges extend outwardly from the side walls.

摘要： A method and apparatus for rupturing connective tissues that attach a tooth to a patient's alveolar bone socket are provided. The apparatus includes a metal cap removably attached to the tooth using a cementing agent, and a transducer assembly having a transducer head and a ball projection. The metal cap includes a body section having a hollow space defined by its coronal surface and contiguous vertical surfaces for enclosing the tooth. The body section has a slit terminating with an apical strip and loop arrangement. The metal cap further includes a ball socket extending from the coronal surface of the body section. The transducer head generates vibrational and tapping movements in the ball projection. The ball projection operatively engages the ball socket to transfer the vibrational and tapping movements to the metal cap and thereby to the tooth, which ruptures the connective tissues of the tooth.

摘要： A pneumatically operated percussive dental extractor includes a main body having a central longitudinal chamber. A replaceable hook member is attached to the distal end of the main body. Mounted in the longitudinal chamber at a proximal end thereof is an anvil. Reciprocally mounted in the longitudinal chamber for movement from a distal end thereof to engagement with the anvil is a piston. A driving device selectively drives the piston pneumatically from the distal end of the chamber into percussive engagement with the anvil. A return device automatically returns the piston from engagement with the anvil to the distal end of the chamber. The driving device includes a coupling located at the proximal end of the main body for connecting the driving device to a source of pneumatic pressure and a trigger device for selectively connecting the source of pneumatic pressure to the distal end of the chamber. The trigger device includes an actuator which is radially moved to connect the pneumatic source to the distal end of the chamber. The driving device further includes a control device for controlling the pneumatic pressure exerted on the piston and a hollow shaft which extends from the proximal end to the distal end of the chamber with an air outlet at a distal end thereof into the distal end of the chamber. The piston is then mounted for movement about the hollow shaft, and the return device includes a compression spring located about the hollow shaft between the piston and the anvil.

摘要： An apparatus including a transducer head and a motion transfer member, and a method for rupturing connective tissues that attach a tooth to an alveolar bone socket are provided. The transducer head generates and transfers vibrational and tapping movements to the motion transfer member. The motion transfer member, extending from the transducer head via a neck of a transducer assembly, includes a ball projection and a flexible member. The ball projection connected to a distal end of the neck transfers the generated vibrational and tapping movements received from the transducer head to the tooth. The flexible member housing and surrounding the ball projection contacts a tooth surface and generally conforms to a shape of the tooth to distribute the generated vibrational and tapping movements uniformly in multiple directions on the tooth to rupture the connective tissues and allow the tooth to be loosened and removed from the alveolar bone socket.

The other end portion of the mandrel converges and terminates in an annular outstanding shoulder facing the handle. 摘要： A pneumatic remover assembly having a central housing with a reciprocating internal mass and spring, a first end unit having a spool-type valve for activating the remover, a second end unit having various conduits disposed therein for introducing and exhausting compressed air in and out of the remover, and a unique adjustment ring which is capable of adjusting the flow rate of the compressed air which is introduced to the remover, thereby regulating the striking intensity of the remover. The adjustment ring comprises an airflow groove disposed within the interior surface of the adjustment ring which is in contact with the second end unit of the remover assembly. This airflow groove has a gradually increasing depth along its length and is in continuous communication with the compressed air injection conduit disposed in the second end unit.
