    摘要: Articulator—semiadjustable, arcon with lower and upper parts that could be detached from one another or interconnected, with two mechanical joints. An upper horizontal shoulder (5) is fixed to an elevator (4), said elevator (4) is connected to an upper vertical body (11) and can move vertically to adjust the vertical position. A lower vertical body (10) is fixed to the base (1) and holds an axis with two joint heads (14). The upper vertical body (11) is pivotably connected to the lower vertical body (10) through the two joint heads (14), the distance between the joint heads can vary due to an elastic element (18), thus reproducing the lateral shift. The articulation between the vertical bodies (11 and 10) can be locked and unlocked via an elbow shaped piece (13). The articulator lower part has an incisive platform (8) with a position angle that could be adapted.

Accordingly, the manufacturing process can be simplified, the actual motion of jawbones can be achieved, and the height between the upper member and the lower member can be ensured by a support unit.

    摘要: A method of custom molding occlusal surfaces of dentures and the surfaces thus produced. Special teeth are used for the lower posterior teeth on the mandibular plate of dentures and a central bearing device is attached to the dentures. Each special tooth has a central receptacle used initially for holding an insert for positioning the dentures while the central bearing device is adjusted and then as a container to hold moldable resin when the insert is removed. The central receptacle holds the resin as it is molded by the opposing teeth moving through all possible eccentric positions, with the central bearing device preventing the teeth from closing too far. The resin is then cured and trimmed and the dentures are clinically fit to the patient before the central bearing device is removed from the dentures.

The articulator has left and right condyle elements that resemble barbells, with an inner sphere, an outer sphere, and a shaft connecting the inner and outer spheres together. In the preferred embodiment, the outer spheres are releasably fixed to the lower frame member by clamping members, and the inner spheres are pivotably mounted to the upper frame member. To calibrate the articulator, the clamping members are loosened, an alignment fixture is installed to ensure that the articulator is in proper alignment, and then the clamping members are tightened into position, fixing the outer spheres in the properly-aligned position.
