摘要: A body thickness conversion unit converts a body thickness from a distance image imaged by a distance measurement camera to acquire the body thickness. A strength setting unit sets strength of noise reduction processing to a radiographic image to be stronger as the body thickness is thicker. A radiographic image acquisition unit acquires the radiographic image output from a radiation detector in radioscopy. A noise reduction processing unit executes the noise reduction processing on the radiographic image with the strength set by the strength setting unit.

摘要: A radiation reduction system that includes a computer and an imaging device configured to provide an image of a subject during a medical procedure using electromagnetic radiation. A variety of inputs are accepted from the medical practitioner using the computer such as subject body type, weight, and the like. These user inputs are used by the computer to determine operating settings that are transmitted to the imaging device either manually, a wired connection or wirelessly. The calculated settings are useful to generate one or more medically useful images of the subject while significantly reducing the overall radiation exposure to the subject and/or the personnel and/or medical practitioner.

摘要: An N-M tomography system comprising: a carrier for the subject of an examination procedure; a plurality of detector heads; a carrier for the detector heads; and a detector positioning arrangement operable to position the detector heads during performance of a scan without interference or collision between adjacent detector heads to establish a variable bore size and configuration for the examination. Additionally, collimated detectors providing variable spatial resolution for SPECT imaging and which can also be used for PET imaging, whereby one set of detectors can be selectably used for either modality, or for both simultaneously.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for determining radiation doses based on phantom matching are disclosed. An example apparatus includes memory to store computer readable instructions; and processor circuitry to execute the computer readable instructions to prompt a capture of a second scout image when at least one of: (A) a first anatomical landmark in a first scout image of a first scout image file does not include an organ, (B) a first set of dimensions of the first anatomic landmark in the first scout image cannot be determined, or (C) the first set of dimensions are outside of a predefined range; and calculate a radiation dose for an organ in a second anatomical landmark of a second scout image file corresponding to the second scout image.

Imaging detector columns can extend and retract radially as well as be rotated orbitally around the gantry. The system can automatically adjust setup configuration and an imaging operation based on subject shape estimation information.

摘要: For patient weight estimation in a medical imaging system, a patient model, such as a mesh, is fit to a depth image. One or more feature values are extracted from the fit patient model, reducing the noise and clutter in the values. The weight estimation is regressed from the extracted features.

摘要: A method includes a obtaining an image of a center of a pelvis of a patient captured by an imaging device and analyzing the image of the pelvis center to determine whether or not the pelvis center is aligned with the imaging device using a computing device. When the pelvis center is not aligned with the imaging device, the method includes determining one or more alignment instructions for aligning the pelvis center with the imaging device by the computing device and transmitting the analyzed image of the pelvis center and the one or more pelvis alignment instructions to a user device in communication with the computing device. The user device executes a graphical user interface for displaying the analyzed image and one or more pelvis alignment instructions.

摘要: A radiation imaging apparatus includes a radiation detection unit including a plurality of sensors which detect radiation, and a monitoring unit which monitors irradiation of radiation based on signals detected by the plurality of sensors. The monitoring unit determines a plurality of effective sensor candidates from the plurality of sensors, and determines effective sensor(s) from effective sensor candidates excluding certain effective sensor candidates of the plurality of effective sensor candidates, the certain effective sensor candidates being an effective sensor candidate which has detected a signal having a maximum value and an effective sensor candidate which has detected a signal having a minimum value. The monitoring unit monitors irradiation of radiation based on signal(s) detected by the effective sensor(s).

摘要: An X-ray CT apparatus includes: intensity distribution data acquiring circuitry is configured to acquire, by performing a first scan, intensity distribution data of X-rays being radiated from an X-ray tube and having passed through a subject; scan controlling circuitry is configured to estimate an X-ray dose with which it is possible to discriminate individual X-ray photons having passed through the subject based on the intensity distribution data and to cause a second scan that is for a photon counting CT purpose to be performed by causing the estimated dose of X-rays to be radiated from the X-ray tube to the subject; a counting result acquiring circuitry is configured to acquire, by the second scan, a counting result by counting the X-ray photons being radiated from the X-ray tube and having passed through the subject; and an image reconstructing circuitry is configured to reconstruct X-ray CT image data based on the counting result.
