A frame that is fitted around the border of a display device such as, but not limited to, a television set is disclosed. The frame is configured to be removably mounted to the display device. According to one embodiment of the invention, the frame has multi-piece construction which provides for advertising panels to be removably inserted into the frame. The frame and the advertising panels may be constructed of a material which allows transmission of infrared and/or RF signals to pass through. Optionally, the frame and/or the advertising panels may include knock-out panels positioned over a receiver for an infrared and/or RF signal. A mounting system, such as a hook-and-loop fastening system, may be used to mount the frame to the display device.

A framing system having a base panel assembly configured so that an ornamental/informational object can be incorporated into the base panel assembly so as to be viewable from in front thereof. A frame extends around a peripheral region of the base panel assembly. Connectors on the base panel assembly and frame cooperate so as to allow the base panel assembly and frame to be: a) moved from a separated relationship relative to each other into an operatively joined relationship; and b) releasably maintained in the operatively joined relationship as an incident of the base panel assembly and frame changing from the separated relationship into the operatively joined relationship, without requiring use of any separate fasteners, once the operatively joined relationship is achieved.

Systems and methods for producing an accessorizable frame system comprising a display plate, a frame plate, and an attachment, which selectively and releaseably holds the display plate away from the frame plate, are disclosed. In some cases, the attachment that connects the display plate to the frame plate includes a clip that extends from the display plate and which is configured to be received in a corresponding opening within the frame plate. In some instances, to accessorize the frame system, a user adds an aligner, a liner, a back cover, and/or any other suitable component to the frame system.

Disclosed is a display structure in which an insertion opening, slide grooves, a first fitting portion and a ridged portion along which the display plate bends when the display plate is bent arranged in the loading sections of a support body in a suitable manner to ensure that when the display plate is inserted into or removed from the loading unit, a force is exerted on both sides of the display plate in either the direction from the display surface side to the rear surface side thereof or the direction from the rear surface side to the display surface side thereof, and a force is exerted in another direction at the center region of the display plate. As a result of configuring in this manner, the display plate deforms so that the entire display surface side comes to have a convex or concave shape, thereby allowing the display plate to be attached to or detached from the support body without forcible localized deformation of the display plate.

A decorative border affixed to a solid surface which includes a plurality of photographic display units extending in physical commonality to form the decorative border, each of the plurality of photographic display units having a pocket surrounded by a decorative surface area, and an attachment mechanism for mounting the plurality of display units to the solid surface is disclosed. A decorative border including a plurality of photographic units embodied in a flexible sheet of underlayment, covering and optional decorative surface sheet is also disclosed. A decorative border including a plurality of interconnected photographic display units coupled together by a connecting mechanism which form the decorative border is also disclosed. Finally, a method of making a decorative border which includes providing the same is disclosed.

According to an example embodiment of the present invention, an extruded decorative frame member includes a front side opposite a back side, the front side having a substantially planar region and a retaining flange at each opposing edge of the substantially planar region. The front side is configured and arranged to accept and couple to decorative articles. The frame member further includes a first channel configured and arranged to provide mounting support and restraint in two dimensions relative to the front side.

A decorative molding wrapping foil is derived from a decoration having features specific to a substrate to be decorated. The image of the decoration having features specific to the substrate is first stored as a digital image in a portable image format and thereafter imported into an electronic graphics reader, duplicated at least once thereby creating at least one duplicate image. A portion of one of the duplicate images is laid over the image in one transition zone thereof and a like portion of the image is laid over the duplicate image in a like transition zone thereof thereby creating a continuously repeating image in a ring like manner. The continuously repeating image is imported into a single-pass, multi-color electrostatographic duplex printer where the repeating image is printed upon a wrapping foil for use in foil wrapping of a substrate for use as picture frame element or building trim piece.

This disclosure concerns a picture frame. The picture frame includes a picture frame body having a picture window disposed in the center of the picture frame body. A plurality of descriptive borders is disposed at the periphery of the picture frame. The plurality of descriptive borders include indicia for indicating a name, a year of birth, a blood type, a weight, a height, a date of birth, and a horoscope sign. A plurality of adjustable markers are provided to be used with the descriptive borders to provide the information relating to the subject whose picture is displayed in the picture window.
