    Abstract: The kit comprises a fastening structure and an anchoring structure. The fastening structure includes two vertical poles which are connected at their top ends by a horizontal bar and are inserted into two apertures of the button. The lower ends of the poles are attached to terminal elements. The anchoring structure comprises two trapping mechanisms which are configured to trap the terminal elements and to prevent them from detachment once they reach their trapping spots. The user places the fastening structure with the button above the doth at the desired location and places the trapping mechanisms below the doth opposite to the terminal elements. Next, the user pushes the poles downwards pierces the doth and permanently traps the terminal elements by inserting them into the trapping mechanisms until they reach their trapping spots in which the resilient gates are released and occupy the cavities of the terminal elements.

    Abstract: A rivet is applied from a rear surface of a fabric for mounting a burr on a front surface of the fabric. The rivet comprises a disk-shaped base, and a shank projecting from and concentrically with the base. The base includes an annular recess around a proximal end of the shank, which is depressed in a direction opposite to the shank-projecting direction, and a flange radially outward from the recess. The flange includes a plurality of bumps which are raised from an upper surface in the shank-projecting direction. The bumps may be provided on the upper surface of the flange at equal circumferential intervals, and a top of each of the bumps may be a curved face. The recess may have an inclined outer surface adjacent to the flange. Each of the bumps may have an inclined inner surface extending continuously from the inclined outer surface of the recess.

    Abstract: A button fixing member made of synthetic resin, used to fix a button having a fixing opening to a cloth, the button fixing member including a plate-like base and a post protruding from the base to a front surface side of the base. The post is deformed after it passes through the cloth and the fixing opening of the button when the button is fixed to the cloth. The post includes a cavity extending from an opening on a rear surface of the base to a closed end on the tip side of the post concentrically with the post, and a solid portion between the closed end of the cavity and the tip of the post. The axial length of the solid portion is set to be ⅕ or more of the length of the part of the post from the front surface of the base to the tip of the post.

    Abstract: A decorative button (1) includes a base member (10) and a cap member (14). The base member (10) includes a prong-accommodating portion (11) that receives a prong portion (21) of a fixing member (2). The cap member (14) is disposed on the base member (10) and forms an outer surface of the decorative button (1). The base member (10) is provided with a cap-supporting portion (13) which abuts to a middle portion of a rear surface of the cap member (14) to support the cap member (14), thereby preventing a deformation of the cap member (14). A top portion (13′) of the cap-supporting portion (13) is a plane to abut to the rear surface of the cap member (14) along the curving of the rear surface.
