    摘要： Many garments made of denim material have factory created one or more discontinuities exposing a group of parallel threads and referred to as “distressed denim”. Sometimes, some or all of these threads become torn or rips or tears occur in the denim garment to create a discontinuity. A patch to cover the discontinuity is made of a plurality of side by side threads attached to one side of an adhesive panel and fabric material is attached to the other side of the adhesive panel. A plurality of adhesive strips essentially circumscribing the discontinuity adhere the patch to the rear side of the denim material and expose the threads through the discontinuity.

    摘要： A flame retardant patch for repairing a tear or hole in clothing or gear includes a flame resistant fabric and a pressure sensitive adhesive bonded to the fabric by hot melt lamination. The pressure sensitive adhesive contains halogenated flame retardant compounds. A release paper covers the pressure sensitive adhesive and is removed to allow application of the flame retardant patch to the clothing or other item being repaired. The patch is attached by applying pressure to the top fabric surface of the patch for approximately 45 seconds using the convex surface of a spoon-like object. The patch is contained in a flexible moisture resistant enclosure formed of a thermoplastic urethane composition.

    摘要： Stocking mending apparatus including a base portion; a stocking form upstandingly centered on the base portion having an ovoid head portion over which the toe or heel of a stocking may be stretched; a housing cover hingably engaging the base portion, the cover including a heat conducting recessed cap operable to mate with the ovoid head; and means for heating the recessed cap. In use, a pre-molded ovoid-shaped fabric cap having an undersurface including heat bonding adhesive is placed over the stretched toe or heel of the stocking on the ovoid head portion of the stocking form. The hinged cover is then lowered onto the stocking form with the heat conductive recessed cap of the cover compressing the fabric cap. Heat applied to the recessed cap and thereby to the fabric cap causes the fabric cap to be bound with the fabric of the stocking thereby mending the stocking. The apparatus may also include a heat-on off indicator and temperature control.
