摘要： An omasum washing machine eliminates use of a motor shaft requiring a forward/backward rotation switching operation which can damage the motor shaft and prevents washing water from splashing to the outside of a tank. This is accomplished by providing inner and outer stirrers, the inner stirrer and the outer stirrer being coupled with a forward rotating drive motor and a backward rotating drive motor, respectively.

摘要： Apparatus for isolating and running off a gold beater strand of the serosa membrane portion of the small intestine of a animal, for example a steer. The apparatus comprises an orientation horn made up of three rods which form a common joint adjacent the leading end of the horn, which leading end is curved and rounded in order that a portion of small intestine tube which has initially been manually severed from the stomach of a beast may be fed on to the leading end of the horn and initially manually fed along the horn. A rotary blade is provided in the region between the three rods. One of the rods is affixed to the apparatus above the rotary blade and the other two rods are affixed to the apparatus below the rotary blade. The rotary blade severs the small intestine tube as it is fed along the horn and the upper portion of the tube containing the gold beater strand is fed over the upper rod whereas the remainder of the small intestine tube, the mesentery web and the stomach portion fall away below the lower two rods.

摘要： A tripes cleaning apparatus includes a rotatable drum presenting a tripes-supporting surface and an integrated fluid valve and nozzle assembly operable to selectively discharge fluid from a source into the tripes as the drum is rotated. The assembly includes a valve base fixed relative to the tripes-supporting surface and a valve body rotatable relative to the valve base into and out of a closed position. Fluid flow to the tripes is at least substantially prevented when the valve body is in the closed position. The assembly also includes a nozzle rigidly fixed to the valve body. The nozzle is elongated to present a fluid discharge opening spaced from the valve body, with swinging of the nozzle controlling rotation of the valve body into and out of the closed position.

The vessel (14) includes a selectively reversible rotatable disc (30) and two baffles (32,34) extending from an annular side wall (24) above the disc (30). Disc projections (40,42,44) extend from an upper surface (38) of the disc (30) and present opposed washing (48) and refining (50) surfaces. The baffles (32,34) likewise present opposed washing (60) and refining (62) surfaces. The washing surfaces of the disc projections (40,42,44) and the baffles (32,34) engage the tripe to agitate and wash it. The refining surfaces of the disc projections (40,42,44) and the baffles (32,34) engage the tripe to remove fat or other components from its exterior.

摘要： An apparatus for splitting, cleaning and skinning poultry gizzards having a transport chain which takes the gizzards past a rotating knife for cutting open the gizzards, a spreading bar for folding open the split gizzards and a rotating brush for removing the contents of the split and spread gizzards, to a set of peeling rolls for removing the lining from the split, spread and cleaned gizzards. The apparatus has two positioning rolls which bring the gizzards, which previously have been separated from the remaining entrails including the stomach, into the right position for receipt by the transport chain, and two pressure discs, rotating in synchronization with the transport chain about a horizontal shaft, which lift the split, spread and cleaned gizzards from the transport chain and press them briefly onto the peeling rolls.
