    Abstract: Engineered Cry1Da amino acid sequences are provided that exhibit improved Lepidopteran insecticidal activity and an enhanced Lepidopteran spectrum compared to the naturally occurring Cry1Da protein toxin. Polynucleotide sequences intended for use in expression of the improved proteins in plants are also provided. Particular embodiments provide compositions containing insect inhibitory amounts of the engineered proteins, as well as recombinant plants, plant parts, and seeds containing polynucleotide constructs encoding one or more of the improved engineered proteins.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a mixed agrochemical emulsion composition comprising: an organic phosphorous pesticide represented by formula (I) (wherein, R1 represents a C1-4 linear or branched alkyl group; R2 represents a C1-4 linear or branched alkyl group; R3 represents a nitrogenated heterocyclic group which may have a substituent or a group —OR4 (wherein R4 represents a nitrogenated heterocyclic group which may have a substituent; and X and Y each independently represent an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, wherein Y is a sulfur atom when X is an oxygen atom, and Y is an oxygen atom when X is a sulfur atom); chloropicrin; and a nonionic surfactant. The composition has excellent storage stability and excellent emulsifying properties in water and can be sprayed and applied conveniently by diluting the composition with water, in spite of a fact that both chloropicrin and the organic phosphorous pesticide, which are effective for the control of pests, are contained.

    Abstract: A microcapsule is provided, containing: (a) an agriculturally active ingredient in which a retention rate is less than 50% after irradiation with xenon light (290 nm cutoff) at an intensity of 0.68 W/m2 at 340 nm for 8 hours; and (b) a hydrophobic organic solvent; wherein a weight ratio of the agriculturally active ingredient to the hydrophobic organic solvent is from 10:90 to 70:30. With this microcapsule, it is possible to inhibit photodegradation of the agriculturally active ingredient.
