Abstract: A pet toy includes a ring shaped peripheral body and an interior dispenser. An interior curved engaging surface of the peripheral body engages an exterior spherical surface of the dispenser. A curvature of the interior engaging surface allows the dispenser to continuously roll or rotate, yet maintain engagement with the peripheral body when the peripheral body is displaced by contact. The dispenser is hollow thereby defining a chamber to receive treats. One or more dispensing openings are provided on the dispenser to selectively dispense treats. The openings can be sized to selectively dispense treats of various sizes and shapes. The invention further includes a method of dispensing treats from a pet toy and a combination comprising the pet toy and selected treats loaded within the chamber.

Abstract: The invention relates to a feed dispenser for horses which comprises a main housing (1), having a loading opening (2) and a discharge opening (3), and an actuation element (7) for a horse, wherein an endless screw (4) rotatable in a drive direction about its longitudinal axis is provided in the main housing (1) and is drive-connected via a driver (5), which runs freely counter to the drive direction, to the actuation element, which is movable counter to the force of a return spring (6) between an idle position and an actuation position. In order to design a feed dispenser of the described kind so that chunky animal feed can be used, regardless of its shape or size, without having to be pre-processed in advance, it is proposed that the endless screw (4) has a peripheral screw blade (20) forming cutting faces (19) for comminuting chunky material, and/or that the main housing (1) has an auxiliary cutter.

Abstract: Probiotic compositions that comprise one or more bacteria species in spore form, a thickener to form a stabilized suspension and to preferably act as a prebiotic, one or more acids or salts of acids, and optionally a water activity reducer. A system for delivering probiotic compositions by gravity feed or non-contact pump to a point of consumption by a plant or animal, preferably in conjunction with acidified drinking water, comprising a collapsible container with attachable tubing that prevent contamination of the probiotic composition within the container. Delivery may be actuated in response to a timer, motion detector, fluid level sensor, RFID tag, or other mechanism to periodically or continuously dispense a dosage of probiotic composition directly to the soil surrounding a plant or to the water or feed for an animal. A method for increasing beneficial bacteria in an animal's GIT comprises adding probiotics to acidified drinking water.
