The antenna structure can have one or metal traces disposed on the flexible printed circuit board, the antenna structure extending over an area that substantially coincides with the area of the flexible printed circuit board. The flexible printed circuit board is foldable into a three-dimensional structure that can be disposed in a folded configuration in an audio device (e.g., hearing aid).

摘要: Apparatus and methods for multi-source audio amplification and ear protection devices are provided herein. In certain configurations, an audio amplification and ear protection device includes at least one microphone that generates an ambient sound signal based on detecting ambient sound, at least one speaker, and an electrical system that controls sound outputted by the at least one speaker based on amplifying the ambient sound signal and a secondary sound source signal. The electrical system receives a first user-controlled volume signal that is operable to control an amount of amplification provided to the ambient sound signal, and a second user-controlled volume signal that is operable to control an amount of amplification provided to the secondary sound source signal.

摘要: Certain embodiments provide systems and methods for performing consumer hearing aid fittings. The system includes at least one computing device, an otoacoustic emissions (OAE) measurement device, a hearing aid, and a hearing database. The hearing database is configured to store customer hearing data. The OAE measurement device is configured to perform an OAE test to generate OAE test results. The at least one computing device is communicatively coupled to the hearing database, the OAE measurement device, and the hearing aid. The at least one computing device is configured to receive the OAE test results from the OAE measurement device, process the OAE test results and demographic information associated with the OAE test results to generate hearing aid fitting parameters, and upload the hearing aid fitting parameters to the hearing aid. The hearing aid is configured to apply the hearing aid fitting parameters to generate an acoustic output.

摘要: Certain embodiments provide a hearing test probe apparatus including a hearing test probe, an eartip, and a microphone. The probe includes a speaker disposed within a probe body, and a mounting stem extending from the probe body and including a speaker sound channel. The eartip is detachably coupled to the mounting stem, and includes an eartip body having an ear insertion end and a probe insertion end opposite the ear insertion end. The eartip body defines a central opening extending from the ear insertion end to the probe insertion end. The central opening includes an eartip sound channel at the ear insertion end and an eartip mounting portion at the probe insertion end. The eartip mounting portion is configured to receive and hold the mounting stem of the probe within the central opening. The microphone is disposed within the eartip when the eartip is detachably coupled to the mounting stem.

摘要: Systems and methods for estimating a state of charge of a hearing aid rechargeable battery for rapid user feedback and charge management are provided. The method includes detecting a rechargeable battery of a hearing aid received at a battery charger. The method includes retrieving a last state of charge (SoC) of the rechargeable battery and a time in use of the rechargeable battery. The time in use is a time the hearing aid is out of the battery charger. The method includes estimating a current state of charge (SoC) of the rechargeable battery based on the last SoC and the time in use of the rechargeable battery. The method includes causing a display of the battery charger to present the estimated current SoC.

A comfortable vented eartip includes an ear insertion end, an earphone insertion end opposite the ear insertion end, a base at the ear insertion end extending toward the earphone extension end, a central opening extending through the base to form an inner sound channel through the base, and at least one flange. The at least one flange includes a first flange end extending from the base at an angle away from the base and toward the earphone insertion end at a second flange end. The at least one flange includes at least one swept indent extending between the first flange end and the second flange end. The at least one swept indent sweeps laterally around a portion of a circumference of the at least one flange.
