Abstract: A rotary tool or machine includes: an output shaft; a motor that rotates the output shaft; an operation part for commanding driving/stopping of the motor; and a control unit that controls the driving/stopping of the motor in accordance with commands from the operation part. The control unit is configured to generate a braking force in the motor or on the output shaft when the motor is to be stopped in proportion to a tightening force (torque) applied to the tool accessory when the motor is started up, such that the greater the tightening force (torque), the greater the braking force.

Abstract: It is an object of the present teachings to provide a technique that rationalizes the structure of the brushless motor so as to save space in the power tool. According to the present teachings, a representative brushless motor utilized in a power tool may comprise a stator, a rotor and a cooling fan. The brushless motor is disposed within the power tool. The brushless motor is adapted to supply driving current to the stator to drive a tool bit of the power tool by rotating the rotor. The cooling fan is molded of a magnetic or conductive material so that the cooling fan also serves as a rotating position detector that detects the rotating position of the rotor with respect to the stator. Because the cooling fan may also have a function of rotating position detector of the rotor, the inner space of the power tool can be rationalized.

Abstract: A motor used for an electric power tool includes a cylindrical-shaped stator, a rotor arranged on an inner circumferential side of the stator, and a sensor board arranged at an axial end of the stator. The sensor board includes a board main body located radially inside of the stator when viewed from an axial direction of the stator, and a leg protruding radially outward from the board main body toward the stator. The stator is exposed at least on one side of the leg in a circumferential direction of the stator. Abstract: The electric work machine in one aspect of the present disclosure includes an output shaft, a motor, a current measuring circuit, and a controller. The current measuring circuit measures a current value, the current value corresponding to a magnitude of a drive current flowing through the motor. The controller sets a maximum value and a threshold. The controller calculates the correction value less than or equal to the maximum value so that the drive current decreases, in response to the current value having reached the threshold. The controller subtracts, from the control parameter, the correction value calculated, thereby correcting the control parameter. The controller drives the motor based on the control parameter corrected.

A first passage of cooling air from the fan is defined between the power transmission housing and the cover. The first passage branches into a second passage toward the blade holder and a third passage not toward the blade holder.

Abstract: A dust collecting attachment includes a dust suction portion and a main body. The dust suction portion has a suction opening through which a tip tool is allowed to pass. The main body includes a suction space, an air vent hole, and an air vent operation portion. The suction space is communicated with the dust collection passage and has a suction port opening to a workpiece. The air vent hole opens the suction space to outside. The air vent operation portion normally closes the air vent hole and opens the air vent hole by a predetermined operation. The air vent operation portion is operated together with an operation of removing the main body from the workpiece to open the air vent hole.
