    Abstract: The cable assembly may include a plug connector, a cable, and a connector. The plug connector may include a housing and a board assembly. The board assembly may include a printed circuit board. The edge of the printed circuit board may be enclosed with a material. The material may be an overmolded plastic or a coating of a material. In order to reduce the crosstalk in the areas where the cable shield is removed, a shielding assembly may be used. The shielding assembly may provide 360 degrees of shielding for the wire pair at the location where the cable shield is removed. The printed circuit board may have a trace layer, a core layer, and a ground plane layer. The ground plane layer may have a portion which is a solid layer and another portion which is a non-solid layer.

    Abstract: Provided is an electrical connector having first and second surfaces and configured to establish electrical communication between two or more electrical devices. The electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a resilient, conductive contact retained in an aperture disposed from the first surface to the second surface. To contact the electrical devices, the contact includes a center portion from which extends two diverging, cantilevered spring arms that project beyond either surface of the electrical connector. To shorten the path that current must travel through the contact, one spring arm terminates in a bellows leg that extends proximate to the second spring arm. When placed between the electrical devices, the spring arms are deflected together causing the bellows leg to press against the second spring arm. For retaining the contact within the aperture, the contact also includes retention members extending from the center portion that engage the insulative housing.

    Abstract: The electronic control enclosure includes devices and methods for removing heat energy from the electronic components of an electronic control unit. The components are mounted to a substrate and are protectively housed in an interior chamber of an environmentally sealed enclosure housing. Electrical communication is established with the components via a header assembly that includes plug receptacles. To remove heat generated by the components from the enclosure housing, one or more heat sinks are disposed through the enclosure housing such that the heat sinks have an interior surface exposed to the interior chamber and an exterior surface exposed to the exterior of the enclosure housing. In other embodiments, the enclosure housing may be made of a heat conductive material and the heat sink is integral with the enclosure housing. In one aspect, a spring urges the components against the interior surface. In another aspect, the components are mounted to and directly contact the interior surface.
