摘要： Hard disk drives of the invention are wrapped in laminate for enhanced sealing of the hard disk drive. Laminate-wrapped hard disk drives of the invention comprise: an enclosed hard disk drive housing comprising a base and a cover enclosed around internal components for facilitating reading and recording of data at a desired location on at least one disk contained within the housing; and a laminate wrapped around the enclosed housing in an at least partially overlapping manner to form the laminate-wrapped hard disk drive and prevent undesired migration therethrough such that a sealed environment exists within the laminate-wrapped hard disk drive, wherein the laminate comprises a barrier layer and an adhesive layer for adherence of the laminate to the enclosed housing.

摘要： An improved protected graphics assembly according to the invention comprises the following sequential layers: optionally, at least one adhesive layer; at least one graphics layer; and at least one outwardly exposed polymer layer that is essentially free of low surface energy materials and has a gloss value of greater than 90 when tested according to ASTM D2457-03 at a 60-degree angle. The assembly is beneficially applied to a variety of articles and used in a variety of related methods. In an exemplary embodiment, a race car comprises a protected graphics assembly that comprises: optionally, at least one adhesive layer; at least one outwardly exposed polymer layer that is essentially free of low surface energy materials; and at least one graphics layer substantially protected from exterior exposure by the polymer layer.

摘要： Multi-layer polymeric protective sheets of the invention are usefully applied to a variety of articles, including touchscreen displays on electronic devices. Articles of the invention include display screen protectors having not only glass-like properties, but also flexural integrity associated with conventional screen protectors based on polymeric films. In an exemplary embodiment, a multi-layer polymeric protective sheet comprises a first polyurethane layer and a distinct second polyurethane layer. The protective sheet is essentially free of tempered glass and the coefficient-of-friction of an outwardly exposed surface of the protective sheet is less than about 0.40.

摘要： In order to repair any damage to an originally applied paint film, a method of the invention facilitates repair of the paint film by removing essentially only that portion of the paint film that is damaged. After removal of the damaged portion of the paint film, a series of abrading, application, and polishing steps results in a repaired portion of the paint film.
