    Abstract: One example system for displaying immersive scenes includes a processor and at least one memory device. The memory device includes instructions that are executable by the processor to cause the processor to receive a plurality of video streams associated with a video conference, each of the plurality of video streams having a removable background, receive a dynamic immersive background, receive an instruction, the instruction comprising a plurality of locations within the dynamic immersive background, and display an immersive scene including at least a subset of the plurality of video streams, wherein each video stream is displayed at one of the plurality of locations within the dynamic immersive background.

    Abstract: One example system for providing virtual meeting room content monitoring for a host of a videoconference includes a processor and at least one memory device. The memory device includes instructions that can cause the processor to establish a videoconferencing session having a first virtual meeting room. The processor receives a control input from a host subscribed to the first virtual meeting room at a host client device. The control input indicates that the host is to monitor the meeting room content from one or more additional virtual meeting rooms. The instructions further cause the processor to, responsive to the control input from the host, cause the meeting room content of at least one of the additional virtual meeting rooms to be displayed on the host client device while the host is subscribed to the first virtual meeting room.

    Abstract: One example system for providing notifications to videoconferencing sub-meetings includes a processor and at least one memory device. The processor establishes a videoconferencing session associated with a host. The videoconferencing session can include a main meeting, a sub-meeting, and a waiting queue. The processor can move the host from the main meeting to the sub-meeting, and subsequently move a new participant into the waiting queue. The processor can generate a notification that the participant has entered the waiting queue and determine that the host has moved to the sub-meeting. The processor can route, to the host in the sub-meeting using a stored connection of the host to the main meeting, a notification of the participant entering the waiting queue, and subsequently allow the host to admit the new participant.

    Abstract: One disclosed example method includes a video conference provider establishing a main meeting of a video conference and multiple associated sub-meetings at the request of a host client device associated with a host of the meeting. The method further includes the video conference provider determining that a self-selection mode for the sub-meetings is enabled and transmitting notifications to participant client devices associated with the participants of the meeting. Each notification identifies a list of sub-meetings from which a participant can select a sub-meeting to join. The method further includes the video conference provider receiving and forwarding a request from a participant client device to connect to a selected sub-meeting, and receiving an automatic approval from the host client device. The video conference provider further connects the participant client device to the selected sub-meeting.
