    Abstract: Techniques are described for a network device to trigger an aggregation operation. An example wireless communication method includes transmitting, by a network device to a second communication device, a first message that triggers the second communication device to perform an aggregation operation, wherein the second communication device is from a list of one or more communication devices received by the network device from a core network device for performing the aggregation operation or from a first communication device; receiving, from the second communication device, a second message comprising a second configuration information of the second communication device; and transmitting, to the first communication device and in response to the receiving the second message, a third message comprising second configuration information of the second communication device.
