    摘要: An axial flow fan includes an impeller rotatable about a central axis with a plurality of rotor vanes, a motor that drives the impeller, a base portion that supports the motor, a housing that includes an intake vent, an exhaust vent, and an inner peripheral surface surrounding the impeller and the motor, and a plurality of stator vanes that respectively connects the base portion and the housing, wherein the inner peripheral surface includes a first inner peripheral surface arranged to increase a distance from the central axis toward the intake vent or the exhaust vent in an axial direction, and a recess provided between the first inner peripheral surface and a stator vane included in the plurality of stator vanes and facing the first inner peripheral surface. Thus, airflow is allowed to smoothly pass through the housing, resulting in a decrease in noise generated in the fan.

    摘要: A frame for a serially connected axial flow fan unit includes a first housing and a second housing coupled together. The first housing includes a first axial locking mechanism and a first unlocking mechanism, and the second housing includes a second axial locking mechanism and a second unlocking mechanism. The first and the second axial locking mechanism are locked against each other through their movement along their axis. The first and the second unlocking mechanism unlock the first and the second housing with a twisting force equal to or greater than a predetermined value when the first and the second housing are twisted relative to each other. When the first and the second end portion are brought into contact, the first and the second axial locking mechanism are locked against each other and the first and the second unlocking mechanism engage with each other.

A motor gap is arranged axially between the first and second base portions. An axial length of the motor gap is preferably in a range from approximately 0.3 mm to approximately 2.0 mm.     摘要: A housing assembly for a fan unit includes an upper housing having a lower engaging portion adjacent to its lower end surface and a lower housing having an upper engaging portion adjacent to its upper end surface. When one of the upper and lower housings rotates relative to the other about a center axis of the housings in a first direction with the opposing end surfaces of the housings in axial contact, the lower and upper engaging portions engage with each other. While the lower and upper engaging portions are in engagement, one of the lower and upper engaging portions presses the other in both axial directions to cause elastic axial deformation of the other; and one of the lower and upper engaging portions presses the other toward both the first direction and a second direction opposite thereto to cause elastic circumferential deformation of the other.

A wire outlet opening is provided on the housing in a manner axially penetrating the housing, and a lead wire is inserted into the wire outlet opening. A lead wire holding member is inserted into the wire outlet opening into which the lead wire is inserted, the lead wire holding member elastically presses the lead wire to the housing, and a latching portion of the lead wire holding member is latched to a portion of the housing. Therefore, the lead wire holding member fits in the wire outlet opening while firmly holding the lead wire in the wire outlet opening.
