摘要: A print head is supported on an upper frame of a printing device and a platen and a feeding device are supported on a lower frame. Further, a circuit substrate, a print head moving motor, and a feeding device driving motor are also supported on the upper frame. The upper and the lower frame are connected by a connection member around a rotating axis which is substantially orthogonal to the feeding direction of the print medium. The rotating axis is near a side of the platen in order to easily open and shut the upper frame. When a lock arm is released, the upper frame is pushed up by only a small angle through operation of a pre-open lever and is held in a pre-open position. When upper frame is further opened in an opening direction, the upper frame is held in a fully open position by the operation of an open lock lever. When in the fully open state, the exchange of print paper and/or the removal of the jammed paper can be done easily and safely.

摘要: A packet transfer device has a layer 2 switch and performs switching by referring to header information of a 3rd layer and higher layers. Input/output ports receives packets from and transmits packets to other devices connected to the packet transfer device. A header information extracting circuit extracts header information belonging to a 3rd layer (network layer) and higher layers of a network protocol from packets inputted from the respective input/output ports. A table stores header information and control information corresponding to the header information in association with each other. A control information acquiring circuit acquires control information corresponding to the header information extracted by the header information extracting circuit from the table. A processing circuit processes packets based on the control information acquired by the control information acquiring circuit.

摘要: An interstand tension controller for a continuous rolling mill having a plurality of rolling stands and provided with a looper between the adjacent rolling stands controls two controlled variables, i.e., the interstand tension of the workpiece and the looping angle of the looper, to adjust the measured interstand tension and the measured looping angle to desired values, has control loops that control the rotating speed of the rolls of the rolling stand and the looping torque or the looping speed of the looper to regulate the interstand tension and the looping angle, estimates disturbances acting on the control loops, the variation of the characteristics of the controlled system and the interference between the control loops, and operates manipulated variables to offset the disturbances.

摘要: In a packet transmission system including host apparatuses and a router which transfers a packet from host apparatuses in a first host group to host apparatuses in a second host group, each host apparatus in the first host group inserts in a packet an IP address and a link-layer address of a destination host apparatus in the second host group before transmitting the packet. When the router receives the packet, the router determines an output port connected to at least one host apparatus in the second host group including the destination host apparatus, based on the IP address of the destination host apparatus inserted in the packet, and transmits the received packet from the determined output port.

摘要: In measuring a distribution of crystal grains in metal sheet, an exciting frequency of ultrasonic wave is determined such that a wavelength of the ultrasonic wave propagated in a direction of the sheet thickness of the grains each having an aimed orientation is set at a value of twice the thickness of the sheet multiplied by about integers or about half integers, burst-like ultrasonic pulses having this frequency and including two or more waves are directed into the direction of the sheet thickness by use of an ultrasonic probe moving relatively with a body to be measured, multiple reflected waves generated from the bottom and top faces of the metal sheet upon the reflection from the sheet surface are caused to interfere with each other, the multiple reflected waves, which have interfered with each other, are detected, orientation of the grains in the metal sheet are estimated from the magnitudes in amplitude of the interferent multiple reflected waves thus detected, and the distribution of the grains in orientation in various portions, into which the ultrasonic wave is directed, is detected two-dimensionally.

摘要: A packet cipher processor and method for realizing fast packet cipher processing. A packet identification unit analyzes a received target packet to identify an applicable policy to the target packet. Then the packet identification unit creates and gives policy information of the identified policy together with the target packet to a header processing unit. The header processing unit converts the header of the target packet according to the policy information and passes the processing of the target packet to a cipher unit. The cipher unit performs a prescribed cipher process according to the policy on the target packet with the converted header, and outputs the ciphered packet. The packet identification unit, the header processing unit, and the cipher unit operate independently to perform the above processes in a pipeline manner.

摘要: A hot-melt type ink jet printer includes a nozzle head for ejecting a hot-melt type ink onto a sheet. The printer has a sheet feed passage defined by, in order from an upstream side in a sheet feeding direction, a sheet supply roller, a preheat platen, a sheet feed roller, a main platen, a cooling platen, discharge roller and a sheet discharge opening. The preheat platen and main platen have preheater and main heater, respectively, and these platen and the cooling platen are supported on a frame. A first suction port is formed between the main platen and the cooling platen and a second suction port is formed between the cooling platen and the frame. A power board and a cooling fan is provided within the frame for cooling the power board. By rotation of the cooling fan, air is introduced from the sheet discharge opening into the frame through the first and second suction ports to also cool the cooling platen and the heating platen.

摘要: Before print is made by letting hot melt ink gush out from the nozzle head, paper is heated rapidly to its required temperature, thus enhancing the ink fixing performance of the print. Relative to paper carrying rollers, a preheat platen with preheater on its back side is located upstream in the carriage passage and a main platen with main heater on its back side is located downstream in the carriage passage. Downstream of the main platen are installed a cooling platen, which is cooled by first and second air intake openings to allow air to pass into the printer, and paper ejecting rollers. The surface temperature of the preheat platen is set higher than that of the main platen so that the temperature required for unprinted paper will be reached rapidly.
