摘要: Structure is provided to protect a lamp body from the heat generated by a bulb without impairing the external appearance of a lamp or increasing the number of parts of the lamp. A lamp body incorporates a reflector, a bulb, and a shade for limiting the scope of light rays projected from the bulb. The shade has an upper shade portion and a lower shade portion which are integral with each other. The upper shade portion shields those of the light rays that would become dazzling light out of all of the light rays projected from the bulb. The lower shade portion shields those of the light rays from bulb projected toward a lower surface portion of the lamp body. The lower shade portion prevents direct projection of the light rays onto the lower surface portion of the lamp body by shielding the light rays from the bulb, which in turn prevents the lower surface portion of the lamp body from being overheated by the bulb. A part of the reflector extends over the lower surface portion of the lamp body, so that a problem of impairment in the external appearance of the lamp due to the lower surface portion of the lamp body being seen from outside is eliminated.

摘要: An information processing apparatus includes an accepting unit, a memory, an activating unit, and a controller. The accepting unit accepts first key information and second key information. The first key information includes performance information representing a performance and an identifier for identifying a device. The second key information includes the performance information and temporary use permission information. The memory stores the performance information in the first key information if the first key information is accepted and if the identifier is a predetermined identifier, and stores the temporary use permission information and the performance information in the second key information if the second key information is accepted. The activating unit activates the device with the performance represented by the performance information. The controller controls the activating unit to activate the device with the performance and then performs control to erase the performance information and the temporary use permission information.

摘要: A vehicular lamp in which a spherical leading end portion of a tilting actuator is prevented from dropping out of a reflector-side groove-type ball bearing body in a reflector tilting device for tilting a reflector mounted within a lamp body. A reflector tilting device capable of tiltably adjusting a reflector contained in a lamp body includes a tilting actuator disposed in the lamp body having an actuator rod displaceable in the direction of the optical axis of the reflector. A groove-type ball bearing body is mounted to the reflector and fitted into a spherical leading end portion disposed at a leading end of the actuator rod. The groove-type ball bearing body has, at each end of a groove portion which has opposed open ends and into which the spherical leading end portion is fitted, a dropout-preventing strip portion protruding towards the interior of the groove portion. Even if the spherical leading end portion is displaced to either end of the groove portion, the dropout-preventing strip portions prevent the spherical leading end portion from dropping from the groove-type ball bearing body.

摘要: A vehicle lamp such that a bulb structurally integrating a bulb body with a plastic bulb socket is fixed and held in a bulb fitting hole in the rear top portion of a container-like metal reflector in a lamp chamber by a plastic socket fixture. In the vehicle lamp, the reflector is provided with convection-current forming holes and an air convention current generated between the inside and outside of the reflector promotes the heat radiating action of the reflector via the convection-current forming holes. Furthermore, a decrease in the light receiving area of the reflector to an extent equivalent to an area corresponding to the convection-current forming holes reduces heat deriving from direct and radiant heat transmitted to the reflector to that extent. Thus, the reflector is restrained from being heated to high temperatures.

摘要: A vehicle headlight designed in such a manner that a tilting member is tiltably supported through an irradiation angle adjusting mechanism by a supporting member is described. A supporting shaft is provided on the upper part or lower part of the tilting member in such a manner that the supporting shaft protrudes horizontally and in a direction perpendicular to an irradiation axis. Bearing members are secured to the supporting member, and stationary fulcrum sections of the irradiation angle adjusting mechanism are formed by rotatably holding the supporting shaft on the bearing members. By operating a distance adjusting member arranged in a movable fulcrum section of the irradiation angle adjusting mechanism, the tilting member may be tilted with the supporting shaft as a tilting fulcrum.

摘要: A metallic panel for use in a roof, for example, is disclosed. It comprises a part (second part) destined to be left exposed even after the metallic panel is overlaid by another metallic panel and a part (first part) destined to be overlaid by the second part of the other metallic panel. The boundary between the first part and the second part is so constructed as to be joined fast to the lower edge of the second part of another metallic panel. The metallic panel is provided along the edge of the first and second parts respectively with a rising rib formed by bending the edge in an upper inward direction and a falling rib formed by bending the edge in a lower inward direction. It is further provided on the surface of the first part with a plurality of oblong reinforcing protuberances arrayed parallelly in the vertical direction.

摘要: A plastic lamp housing is molded in one piece with two cantilevers extending forwardly from its rear wall for supporting a metal made reflector and a light bulb out of direct contact with all the inside surfaces of the lamp housing. The reflector thermally covers at least the top and bottom and rear sides of the light source for the reduction of heat transmission to the lamp housing. Depending from the lamp housing, a lamp standard has a hollow extending therethrough in communication with the interior of the lamp housing through a heat release opening formed in the bottom of the lamp housing. The lamp standard is for use in mounting the lamp on a hollow structural part of a motor vehicle in the vicinity of its rear window. Therefore, by creasing an opening in the hollow vehicle part, the heated air within the lamp housing can be vented into the hollow lamp standard and thence into the hollow vehicle part, instead of into the interior of the vehicle body.
