Abstract:
This disclosure provides a method and system to locate/detect static occlusions associated with an image captured scene including a tracked object. According to an exemplary method, static occlusions are automatically located by monitoring the motion of single or multiple objects in a scene over time and with the use of an associated accumulator array.
Abstract:
A method, computer readable medium and apparatus for verifying an identity of an individual based upon facial expressions as exhibited in a query video of the individual are disclosed. The method includes receiving a reference video for each one of a plurality of different individuals, wherein a plurality of facial gesture encoders is extracted from at least one frame of the reference video describing one or more facial expressions of each one of the plurality of different individuals, receiving the query video, calculating a similarity score for the reference video for the each one of the plurality of different individuals based on an analysis that compares the plurality of facial gesture encoders of the at least one frame of the reference video for the each one of the plurality of different individuals to a plurality of facial gesture encoders extracted from at least one frame of the query video.
Abstract:
A system and method for automatic classification and detection of a payment gesture are disclosed. The method includes obtaining a video stream from a camera placed above at least one region of interest, the region of interest classifying the payment gesture. A background image is generated from the obtained video stream. Motion is estimated in at least two consecutive frames from the video stream. A representation is created from the background image and the estimated motion occurring within the at least one region of interest. The payment gesture is detected based on the representation.
Abstract:
A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for generating an interactive image of facial skin of a user that is displayed via a mobile endpoint device of the user are disclosed. For example, the method includes displaying a guide to position a face of the user, capturing an image of the face of the user, transmitting the image to a facial skin analysis server for analyzing one or more parameters of the facial skin of the user, receiving the interactive image of the face of the user that includes metadata associated with the one or more parameters of the facial skin that were analyzed by the facial skin analysis server, and displaying the interactive image of the face of the user.

Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and systems to automatically detect and optionally classify when a recipient receives goods in surveillance video. According to one exemplary embodiment, a computer implemented method determines a customer has received goods which are associated with a retail environment.

Abstract:
This disclosure provides a static occlusion handling method and system for use with appearance-based video tracking algorithms where static occlusions are present. The method and system assumes that the objects to be tracked move in according to structured motion patterns within a scene, such as vehicles moving along a roadway. A primary concept is to replicate pixels associated with the tracked object from previous frames to current or future frames when the tracked object coincides with a static occlusion, where the predicted motion of the tracked object is a basis for replication of the pixels.
Abstract:
A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for transmitting an assessment of facial skin health of a customer are disclosed. For example, the method includes receiving an image of a customer from a mobile endpoint device of the customer, analyzing one or more parameters of a facial skin of the customer in the image of the customer, determining the assessment of facial skin health of the customer based on the one or more parameters of the facial skin that are analyzed and transmitting the assessment of facial skin health to the mobile endpoint device of the customer to cause the mobile endpoint device to automatically display the assessment of facial skin health.
