摘要: Methods and systems for printing clear tagged objects on clear plane are described herein. In an example, the system draws a bounding box for each block of text/graphic objects. Within each bounding box, an occupancy percentage of foreground pixels (tagged as clear objects) is computed against background pixels. If the computed occupancy percentage falls below a defined threshold value, then that text/graphic object is considered for application of dilation. Thus, the device described herein doesn't check the size of the text/graphic objects; rather checks for the occupancy percentage of the text/graphic objects within a bounding box. While constructing the clear plane to support flood clear, the clear values corresponding to the dilated pixels (pixels considered for dilation) will be intelligently modified. In this way, only intended and logically desired text/graphic objects undergo for dilation.

摘要: Methods and devices to improve the quality of graphics objects based on adaptive stroke thickening are disclosed. The method includes receiving a graphics object having at least one stroke. The graphics object is represented within an object window made of a plurality of cells. The method further includes identifying a fill region being defined by the stroke. Both the fill region and the stroke are represented by a group of cells. The identified fill region is tagged using a predefined flag indicating a tagged fill region or any its attributes. The stroke is strengthened unidirectionally away from the tagged fill region, where a stroke color associated with the stroke being strengthened is replaced by an adapted color provided the stroke color is same as a background color associated with a background, which is a part of the object window.

摘要: According to exemplary methods, a print job is received into a computerized device. The computerized device includes a marking device having a programmed color space. The print job includes an electronic document and print job attributes with a spot color for use in rendering the print job. Raster processing of the electronic document is performed. An object in the electronic document involving the spot color is identified. Definition of the spot color is verified for the marking device. Responsive to the spot color not being defined for the marking device, color values for each pixel in the object are modified to zero. Overprint is enabled for the object so that underlying objects will show through.

摘要: According to exemplary methods, a print job is received into a computerized device that includes a marking device. The print job specifies an imposition template defining multiple logical pages for a single sheet of print media according to an electronic document. The print job attributes also contain a first print colorant order and a different second print colorant order. Groups of logical pages are defined for each print colorant order, and buffers are created in which raster data associated with each group of logical pages are merged and untouched pixels are marked as negative pixels. The information from each buffer is printed on a single sheet of print media. Following printing of each buffer, the sheet of print media is returned to the marking device, so that information from the next buffer can be printed on the same side of the sheet of print media, using the marking device.

摘要: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for generating one or more cut contours based on object types. The method includes receiving from a user a print job including a first file having objects and receiving at least one object type and a cut width for printing the job at a printer. Based on the at least one object type, corresponding objects are extracted from the first file. Then, automatically cut contours are generated while creating a raster image for the extracted objects. The cut contour is generated at the cut width distance outside a boundary of each object. The cut contour then is embedded around each object in the raster image to generate a second file. The cut contour is embedded using a specific color. The second file including the cut contour in the specific color around each object is printed.

摘要: Methods and systems for thickening an interior region of a fill object are described. The method includes receiving a print job including an input image, and converting into a digital bitmap image comprised of an array of pixels, each pixel being assigned with a pixel value and an object tag information. Based on this, each pixel is defined as one of a boundary pixel of the input image, an edge pixel of the fill object in the input image, and an interior pixel of the fill object. Thereafter, the fattening of the edge pixels of the fill object, is followed by the fattening of the interior pixels of the fill object, for applying thickening to the interior region. After this, an output image is generated.

摘要: Methods and systems for rendering an image. In an example embodiment, a step or operation can be implemented to pre-render white objects in an image with a background image set to a single complementary color. Such a single complimentary color assists in obtaining the textual content only from the complex background. A connected component analysis can be performed with respect to said image to identify elements in said images that should be rendered as objects composed of text and graphics. Tags are then assigned for final rendering of the image after performing said component analysis with respect to said image. Modification of tag values with respect to said images avoids unwanted artifacts such as, for example, bleed through, background closing, ghost effects, etc.

The received graphics object is identified as a fill object based on the stroke including a first cell of a stroke color being different from a fill color of a second cell associated with the fill region. The stroke color and the fill color are compared with a background color of a third cell associated with a background according to a predefined condition, where the first cell, the second cell, and the third cell are linearly adjacent to each other. Based on the comparison, an adapted color being different from the background color of the third cell is selected to adaptively strengthen the first cell, which is associated with the stroke, away from the fill region.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure include methods and systems for altering an orientation of a logical cell at a multi-function device. In one embodiment, before rasterization, a user submits a job having multiple pages and an initial instruction to arrange ‘n’ number of pages on a single medium. Each page has a pre-defined orientation. Another instruction is received to alter a pre-defined orientation of a selected page in the corresponding logical cell. An N-up operation is performed to arrange the ‘n’ number of pages on the single medium. Each page arranged on the single medium represents a logical cell. While performing the N-up operation, the pre-defined orientation of a logical cell corresponding to the selected page is altered. The logical cell with the altered orientation is printed and the remaining logical cells with respective pre-defined orientation are printed on the single medium.

If a reference table exists for the object family, the method includes determining a size of that object, and identifying a tag based on the size. The method also includes encoding that object to form an encoded object having a relatively reduced number of bits, associating the identified tag with the encoded object, and saving the encoded object.
