    Abstract: Provided is a guide assembly for guiding a bone cutting tool through a small incision in the skin near the bone that allows movement of the cutting tool in the bone in a wide angle while the cutting tool is rotated about a pivot point that is located at the small incision. The guide assembly includes a 2-piece construction that includes a guide component that holds the cutting tool and a track component having a semicircular arc shape on which the guide component is slidably engaged whereby sliding the guide component along the track component guides the movement of the cutting tool to rotate about a pivot point that is the center of curvature of the semicircular arc shape of the track component.

    Abstract: An assembly includes a first portion including an anchor pivotally attached to a first end of the first portion, the anchor to be inserted into an intramedullary canal of a first bone fragment; a second portion pivotally attached to a second end of the first portion and including a first skin-interfacing portion; a second skin-interfacing portion to interface with and secure the assembly to skin adjacent to the first bone fragment; and an actuation mechanism attached between the first portion and the second portion that actuates pivoting of the second portion to the first portion; wherein a lateral force is generated between the first skin-interfacing portion against a second bone fragment, adjacent to the first bone fragment, and a holding force is provided by the anchor when the actuation mechanism is actuated, so the first portion pivots with respect to second portion, while the anchor is in the intramedullary canal.

    Abstract: A method includes passing a first flexible strand through a tissue section by a first needle coupled to a driver. The driver includes a longitudinal body defining an opening at a distal end. The first needle is positioned in the opening. A first hole is formed through a bone. The first flexible strand is passed through the first hole using a strand retriever. The strand retriever includes a body having a first longitudinal tube extending therefrom and a first snare slideably deployable from the first longitudinal tube. The first longitudinal tube is positioned from a first side of the bone in the first hole and the first snare is deployed on a second side of the bone. The first snare passes the first flexible strand through the first hole in the bone. The tissue section is secured to the bone using the first flexible strand.
