Abstract: The present invention relates a power plant controller (PPC), the power plant controller to control produced power from a wind power plant (WPP), the wind power plant comprises at least a plurality of wind turbine generators, the wind power plant being connected to an electrical grid, wherein the power plant controller, in the event of receiving a signal indicative of a predefined event in the wind power plant, is capable of controlling the wind power plant so that the produced power, from the wind power plant to the electric grid, is a negative amount of active power. The invention also relates to a method for controlling a wind power plant connected to an electrical grid, the wind power plant comprises a plurality of wind turbine generators.

Abstract: The invention relates to a control system for a wind turbine generator, WTG. The control system defines reactive limits for a reactive power reference for the WTG. The reactive limits are defined as a function of a physical parameter, e.g. the output voltage of the WTG. In case the reactive power reference exceeds the predefined limits, the reactive power reference is limited. By limiting the reactive power reference output voltages which exceed certain output voltage limits may be avoided and, thereby, a disconnection of the WTG from the grid may be avoided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling a wind power plant, WPP, comprising a plurality of wind turbine generators, WTGs, connected to an electrical grid, the method comprising: setting a plant power reference (Ptotal) according to an electrical value of the electrical grid; determining an inertia delta power reference (IRdeltaP) required for the WPP to meet a power demand in response to a change in the electrical value; adding the inertia delta power reference and the plant power reference (Ptotal) to form a power reference (Ptotalref); deriving an overboost reference (PrefOB) as the difference between the power reference (Ptotalref) and an available power value; dispatching the power reference (Ptotalref) to each wind turbine generator; dispatching the overboost reference (PrefOB) to each wind turbine generator. The invention also relates to a wind power plant control system and a wind power plant comprising a control system.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling injection and absorption of reactive power in a wind power plant (WPP). In addition to wind turbine generators (WTG), the wind power plant comprises reactive power regulating devices, such as MSU and STATCOM devices. The reactive power regulating devices are controlled by wind power plant controller so that the combined amount of reactive power produced by the wind turbine generators and the reactive power regulating devices satisfies a desired amount of reactive power. In case of communication fault between the power plant controller and one of the reactive power regulating devices, the power plant controller is reconfigured so as to compensate the capability of the reactive power regulating device to inject or absorb the amount of reactive power.

Abstract: A method, control arrangement, and wind power plant (WPP) comprising a plurality of wind turbine generators (WTGs) are disclosed. The method includes operating, responsive to a received power demand corresponding to the WPP, a boost group of one or more WTGs of the plurality of WTGs to begin producing a boosted power output, wherein the boosted power output of each of the one or more WTGs of the boost group is regulated independent of the power demand. The method further includes determining, based on a measured amount of boosted power production, power production set points for a regulation group of one or more different WTGs of the plurality of WTGs to thereby meet the power demand.

Abstract: The invention relates to a power plant controller for controlling wind turbine generators. More particularly, the invention relates to a method for compensating data obtained from measurements at a connection point to the grid in case of a communication failure where communication of such data is lost or becomes unreliable. The measured data are used in the power plant controller for determining setpoints for controlling the wind turbine generators' production of active and reactive power. In response to detection of a communication fault a new setpoint is determined independently of new measured grid data by reconfiguring parts of the power plant controller.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for wind turbine generators for reducing electrical disturbances in the form of power variations which are caused by damping controllers arranged the compensate structural oscillations by inducing shaft torque variations. The shaft torque variations are generated by imposing corresponding variations in a generator set-point, e.g. a power or torque set-point. Variations in the generator set-point cause undesired variations in the power injected to the grid by one or more wind turbine generators. According to an embodiment of the invention the electrical disturbances may be reduced by limiting a damping controller's control action. The amount of limitation or restriction of the damping controller may be determined on basis on electrical disturbance information determined from power measured e.g. at a location on the grid.
