摘要: A paper machine forming section with two wire forming units. One of the two forming units is a twin wire web forming unit having a headbox, two wire loops arranged in sandwich-like manner and a drainage element for each of the wire loops. The first web-forming unit has a first section including a curved suction drainage element or roll in the first lower wire loop; a second section with opposing drainage ledges, wherein the drainage ledges are stationary on the upper side and the drainage ledges are developed resiliently pressable on the bottom side; the drainage ledges of the upper and lower sides are arranged staggered with respect to each other in the direction of travel of the wire, and at least the ledges of the upper side are developed with suction; a third section which has at least one suction wire separating element on one side. The second web-forming unit is a hybrid former with a single wire. The guide rolls for the second wire of the first former and for the wire of the second former guide them on a joint wire path where the multilayer web is transferred to the wire of the second former. There is a headbox associated with the wire of the second former. A respective backwater circuit collects water and materials drained from each of the forming units and returns them to the respective headboxes.

摘要: A paper machine forming section with two twin-wire sections for forming a multilayer paper web. Each twin wire web-forming unit consisting of a headbox, two wire loops arranged to define a common wire path for molding the web being formed in sandwich-like manner and drainage elements for each of the wire loops. The common wire path of each web-forming unit has a first section including a curved suction drainage element or roll in the first lower wire loop; a second section including opposing drainage ledges, wherein the drainage ledges are stationary on the upper side and the drainage ledges are developed resiliently pressable on the bottom side; the drainage ledges of the upper and lower sides are arranged staggered with respect to each other in the direction of travel of the wire, and at least the ledges of the upper side are developed with suction; and a third section which has at least one suction wire separating element on one side. The twin-wire forming units are so arranged that the same drainage elements are associated in each case with what will be the inner and outer sides respectively of the respective layer of the multilayer paper web.

摘要: This device, preferably formed as a dual paper machine, has according to a preferred embodiment two endless screens, mainly a lower screen (21) and an upper screen (22). The lower screen (21), on which is formed a paper web, and the upper screen (22) are moved together in the lower part of a dehydration cylinder (25) arranged in the upper screen. Both screens (21,22) are unrolled from the rising lower quadrant of said cylinder (25) and are laid on the upper part of the support cylinder (26) arranged in the lower screen (21). The bandage of the dehydration cylinder (25) has hollows which absorb water from the screens along their arcs of contact with the cylinder and which project the water towards the inside of the loop formed by the screens of the cylinder. In the feed direction of the screens and downstream of the support cylinder (26), there is arranged a receiving container (36) for the projected water. The container has a curved covering wall (40) which extends opposite the feed direction of the screens up to the interstice formed between the dehydration cylinder (25) and the screens (21,22). The reception container (36) is divided into two chambers (44,45) which extend transversally to the screens and which have separate side discharge conduits. The water supplied into the main chamber (45) through the covering wall (40) is deviated by means of blades (52) towards the direction of the discharge conduit.

摘要: A head box has a preferably fixed flow-carrying wall (11) and a movable flow-carrying wall (13) defining a nozzle-like stock conduit (14) and an outlet slot (15). The movable wall is provided with an adjustable profile bar (35) at the stock outlet slot. For coarse adjustment of the slot width, two lifting devices (21) act on the movable flow-carrying wall. Fine adjustment of the slot width is performed by adjustment spindles (36) acting on the profile bar.To improve adjustment of the stock outlet slot by the movable wall and to use the profile bar adjustment to perform very small corrections to the slot width, a front end section (24) of the movable wall located in the region of the stock outlet slot is flexibly constructed with respect to the remaining part of the wall, and a plurality of adjustment units (33) are spaced across the machine width and act on the flexible end section directly in front of the stock outlet slot.Thereby the movable wall (33) can be adapted with relatively high accuracy to the contour of the fixed wall (11) on the outlet slot side by the adjustment units (33) acting on the flexible end section (24). The immersion depth of the profile bar (35) into the stock conduit is therefore largely constant over the machine width. Cross currents and variable velocities of the stock flow are avoided and the paper's properties are improved.

摘要: A sorter for paper pulp suspension including a rotationally symmetrical wire cage and a rotor supporting a plurality of vanes for rotating about the interior of the cage for moving suspension through the wire cage, the vanes being non-uniformly spaced. An annular pulp chamber surrounds the screen for collecting the pulp. A suspension outlet at the bottom of the pulp chamber receives the pulp from the pulp chamber. The pulp chamber extends axially beyond the lower end of the wire cage. An annular damping chamber surrounds the lower end of the pulp chamber and flow from the pulp chamber to the pulp outlet is past the damping chamber. The damping chamber develops a pool of the suspension in it. A pressurized gas cushion above the pool of suspension in the damping chamber controls the level thereof and damps the motion of the pulp in the pulp chamber.
