摘要： The present invention provides a method for obtaining an ethanolic extract from mature seeds of Solanum melongena, preferably defatted, characterized in that they are extracted with a hydroalcoholic solution containing 50% ethanol, at acid PH, preferably under a nitrogen atmosphere and for short periods of time, no longer than 1-2 h. The extracts obtained from different varieties of Solanum melongena have a high polyphenol content and show potent antitumor activity against colon adenocarcinoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma and glioblastoma multiforme cell lines, even against chemotherapy-resistant lines, but with low toxicity to human hepatocytes. Therefore, the extracts of the invention are proposed for use in the treatment of colon adenocarcinoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma and glioblastoma multiforme, including those resistant to currently used chemotherapies.
