    摘要: An electrical connector is provided for mating with a mating connector. The electrical connector includes a housing and electrical contacts held by the housing. The electrical contacts are configured to mate with corresponding mating contacts of the mating connector. A sense pin is held by the housing and is configured to mate with a corresponding mating contact of the mating connector. The sense pin extends a length that includes a tip segment and a sensing segment. The tip and sensing segments have different electrical characteristics. The tip segment includes a tip of the sense pin. The tip segment extends between the sensing segment and the tip such that the sensing segment is offset from the tip along the length of the sense pin. The sensing segment is configured to indicate that the electrical contacts and the mating contacts are de-mated by more than a predetermined de-mating distance.

The daughter card assembly also includes a power module that is coupled to the daughter card. The power module includes a module housing having a module cavity and a cavity opening that provides access to the module cavity. The power module also includes a power contact that is disposed within the module cavity and projects through the cavity opening. The power contact is configured to engage a corresponding electrical contact of the receptacle connector during the mating operation. The power contact is deflected by the electrical contact into the module cavity as the power contact and the electrical contact engage each other.

    摘要: Pluggable transceiver assembly includes a transceiver body having first and second plug portions and a common base portion that joins the first and second plug portions. The first and second plug portions are separated from each other by an elongated wall-receiving gap that is sized and shaped to receive a receptacle wall of a receptacle assembly. The pluggable transceiver assembly also includes a communication sub-assembly having a transceiver substrate that includes first and second plug sections and a shared section that joins the first and second plug sections. The first and second plug sections extend toward a leading end of the transceiver body from the shared section to substrate edges of the first and second plug sections, respectively. The substrate edges include electrical contacts configured to engage a corresponding receptacle connector of the receptacle assembly.

The lead frame includes conductive leads arranged side by side in a row and extending between a first end and an opposite second end of the lead frame. At least some adjacent conductive leads are spaced on a first lead pitch at the first end, and are spaced on a second lead pitch at the second end. The second lead pitch is less than the first lead pitch. The conductive leads engage and electrically connect to corresponding wire conductors of a first cable harness at the first end of the lead frame, and the conductive leads engage and electrically connect to corresponding wire conductors of a second cable harness at the second end of the lead frame such that the leads provide conductive paths between the first and second cable harnesses.

    摘要: Straddle mount connector including first and second plug members each having a member housing and electrical contacts held by the member housing. Each of the member housings has a base portion and a mating segment that projects away from the base portion to a distal edge. Each of the mating segments has an inner plug side and an outer plug side that face in respective opposite directions. The mating segments of the first and second plug members are coupled to each other along the inner plug sides and form a common straddle plug that is configured to be inserted in a mating direction into an edge connector. The common straddle plug projects away from a board edge of the circuit board in the mating direction. The electrical contacts of the first and second plug members extend along the outer plug sides of the corresponding mating segments for communicatively engaging the edge connector.
