摘要： A riding lawnmower includes a parking brake handle movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. When the parking brake handle is in the disengaged position, the lawnmower control levers are permitted to operate the lawnmower drive system, and the lawnmower engine startup circuit is in an open condition in which the engine is unable to be started. When the parking brake handle is in the engaged position, the lawnmower wheels are substantially prevented from rotating, the control levers are locked in a neutral position, and the startup circuit is in a closed condition in which the engine is able to be started. Movement of the parking brake handle to the engaged position causes the control levers to move to the neutral position.

摘要： A utility cart for lawn and garden applications and adapted for mounting on a lawnmower for catching vegetation clippings from the lawnmower. The cart includes at least one wheel that is in a stowed position when the cart is mounted on a lawnmower such that the at least one wheel bears no weight of the cart. The cart has substantially rigid walls and a handle movable between stowed and deployed positions. The handle pivots with respect to the cart by way of pins in a pivot slot and a guide slot. The slots include locking portions that receive the pins and prevent the handle from pivoting with respect to the cart to facilitate hauling items in the cart and to facilitate lifting the cart off of a lawnmower.

摘要： A drive system for a tractor. The output from a hydrostatic transmission is connected to the rotatable input member of a differential, while the output shafts of the differential are each connected to a drive wheel of the tractor. A clutch interconnects one output shaft of the differential with the input member, and when the clutch is engaged, the output shafts will rotate at the same speed, acting as a solid axle. The steering column of the tractor is connected to a steerable wheel, and when the steering column is rotated through a predetermined arc of about 15.degree., a linkage interconnecting the steering column and the clutch act to disengage the clutch, so that the drive wheels are permitted to rotate at different speeds. Rotation of the steering column through a greater arc of about 80.degree. will automatically operate a brake associated with the inside wheel in the turn. At higher speeds, rotation of the steering column through a given arc will also automatically reduce the speed of the hydrostatic transmission to eliminate possible instability in a tight turn.
