摘要： A device for preventing the intrusion of water or other liquids into the interior of an automatic splice. The device may be constructed in a single-piece or two-piece design and includes a series of fingers that contact the cable stranding and wick water away from the cable and out of the connector. These fingers could be integrally molded into the cable cone or molded as a separate piece and inserted. They could also be constructed of any typical brush material such as metal, plastic, rubber, or fiber. The fingers could be arranged in a variety of configurations.

摘要： A one-part or two-part air terminal for protecting a structure against lightning strikes. A flexible adapter, such as a spring, attaches an upper air terminal to a lower air terminal or a one-piece air terminal and base. The flexible adapter allows a flexible engagement between parts of the air terminal and has an internal passageway. A elongate tether couples parts of the air terminal in case the upper air terminal or one-piece air terminal breaks, so as to avoid a broken part from injuring individuals around. The elongate tether may be a ball chain or other type of chain. The elongate tether runs through the internal passageway of the flexible adapter. A base mounts to the one-part or two-part air terminal and mounts the air terminal to the structure. A grounding wire grounds the base to the grounding rod.

摘要： A stamped hotline clamp having a pair of top side walls, a pair of bottom side walls, a hinge pin, a conductor plate, a saddle and an elongated metal shaft. The hinge pin pivotably connects the top side walls and the bottom side walls on one end and the standoff separates and connects the pair of top side walls at the other end. The conductor plate extends between the top side walls and pivotably contacts a contact plate on the bottom side walls. The top end of the shaft is inserted through an opening in the saddle and threaded into an aperture in the conductor plate. Rotating the shaft in a clockwise direction closes the clamp and rotating the bottom end of the shaft in a counter-clockwise direction opens the clamp.

摘要： A method for installing a wedge connector positioned between two conductive cables includes connecting a head coupler portion of a disconnect assembly to a wedge frame, wherein the head coupler portion includes an extension rod within a longitudinal bore; positioning the wedge frame and a first end of the extension rod against the wedge connector; connecting the head coupler portion to a tool coupler portion of the disconnect assembly, wherein the tool coupler portion is connected to a hydraulic drive tool that includes a ram; causing the hydraulic drive tool to apply force to a second end of the extension rod, wherein applying the force to the second end causes the first end to apply force to the wedge connector; and disconnecting the head coupler portion from the tool coupler portion.

A recess is pre-milled, formed or extruded into the body of a compression connector and the recess is pre-filled with solder. After conductors are installed in the connector, an external heat source is applied to heat the solder until it flows into strands of the conductors and forms a solidified joint of the compression connector.

摘要： A stamped hotline clamp having two parallel top side walls, two parallel bottom side walls, a hinge pin, a conductor plate, a saddle and an elongated metal shaft. The hinge pin pivotably connects the top side walls to the bottom side walls on one end. At the other end, a standoff separates and connects the top side walls and a contact plate connects the bottom side walls. The bottom side walls pivotably contact the saddle.
