    摘要: Embodiments herein provide for In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) content distribution onboard an aircraft to Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) of passengers over Universal Serial Bus (USB). One embodiment comprises system that includes a media server disposed within the aircraft. The media server provides IFE content streams to the PEDs of passengers. The system further includes an Ethernet network that is electrically coupled to the media server, and a plurality of IFE distribution units that are disposed within the aircraft. At least one of the IFE distribution units includes an Ethernet interface that is electrically coupled to the Ethernet network, a USB port located proximate to a seat within the aircraft, and a controller. The controller is electrically coupled to the Ethernet interface and the USB port, and converts the IFE content streams from the media server from Ethernet frames to USB frames for presentation to the PEDs.

    摘要: Embodiments described herein provide location-based services onboard an aircraft for users having mobile devices utilizing wireless beacons dispersed at fixed locations within a passenger cabin of the aircraft. One embodiment comprises a system that includes a plurality of wireless beacons and a location server. Each of the wireless beacons broadcast a unique ID in a broadcast area for receipt by the mobile devices. The location server receives a message from a mobile device that indicates at least one of the IDs received by the mobile device, and identifies location information for the mobile device within the passenger cabin based on the at least one ID. The location server provides the location information to the mobile device for display to a user.

    摘要: Speech detection can be achieved by identifying a speech segment within an audio segment using image classification. An audio segment of radio communications is obtained. An audio sub-segment within the audio segment is extracted. A sampled histogram is generated of a plurality of sampled values across a sampled time window of the audio sub-segment. A two-dimensional image is generated that represents a two-dimensional mapping of the sampled histogram along a first dimension and a predefined histogram along a second dimension that is orthogonal to the first dimension. The two-dimensional image is provided to an image classifier previously trained using the predefined histogram. An output is received from the image classifier based on the two-dimensional image. The output indicates whether the audio sub-segment contains speech.

The component monitoring system includes an ambient condition sensor within a chamber, an operative component coupled to the chamber. The ambient condition sensor is configured to sample an ambient condition within the chamber when the operative component is active. The ambient condition sensor is configured to output ambient condition data indicative of the ambient condition detected by the ambient condition sensor. At least one control unit is in communication with the ambient condition sensor. The control unit(s) is configured to indirectly determine the operative health status of the operative component through an analysis of the ambient condition data.
