摘要: A network includes an intermediate node to communicate with a child node via a wireless network protocol. An intermediate node synchronizer in the intermediate node facilitates time synchronization with its parent node and with the child node. A child node synchronizer in the child node to facilitates time synchronization with the intermediate node. The intermediate node synchronizer exchanges synchronization data with the child node synchronizer to enable the child node to be time synchronized to the intermediate node before the intermediate node is synchronized to its parent node if the intermediate node has not synchronized to its parent node within a predetermined guard time period established for the child node.

摘要: A network includes a plurality of parent nodes to communicate in a wireless network via a wireless network protocol. A network node establishes a network connection to one of the parent nodes of the plurality of parent nodes in response to received beacons from the parent nodes. A signal analyzer in the network node processes a received signal strength of the beacons and the number of beacons received over a given time period from each of the parent nodes. The signal analyzer selects the parent node by analyzing the received signal strength for a number of beacons received from each parent node with respect to a number of expected beacons transmitted from each parent node of the plurality of parent nodes over the given time period.

摘要: A device operated in a network using a channel hopping communication protocol may select a channel for each transmission by first generating and storing a sequence of pseudo-random index numbers. A list of good channels is selected from a plurality of channels. For each channel hop, one of the good channels is selected from the list of good channels for use by a transceiver in the device by using an index number selected from the sequence of pseudo-random index numbers. The list of good channels may be revised periodically and channels may be selected from the list of good channels for use by the transceiver without revising the sequence of pseudo-random index numbers.

摘要: A device and method for controlling radio power in a wireless sensor network. A wireless sensor device includes a wireless transceiver, a white list generator, and power control logic. The wireless transceiver is configured to transmit and receive via a wireless sensor network. The white list generator configured to identify wireless sensor nodes that communicate directly with the wireless sensor device via the wireless sensor network, to identify time slots assigned for communication between the wireless sensor device and each of the identified wireless sensor nodes, and to create and maintain a list of the identified wireless sensor nodes and corresponding time slots. The power control logic is configured to power the transceiver for reception of transmissions from each identified wireless sensor node based on the identified time slots corresponding to the identified wireless sensor node provided in the list.

摘要: A selected network element is arranged for distributed transmission resource allocation conflict reduction. The selected network element receives a transmission from one of a first other network element and a second other network element and identifies at least one transmission resource indicated by the received transmission as being reserved by the first other network element and the second other network element. The selected network element stores an indication of each of the at least one identified transmission resource. In response to reading the stored indications, the selected network element selects a different transmission resource that is different from the transmission resource indicated by the stored indications. The selected network element transmits a transmission from the selected network element using the selected different transmission resource.
