摘要: A technique of selectively transmitting a skip signal indicative of skipping a downlink control channel from an access node (100; 600; 712; 820) to a radio device (791; 792; 830) is provided. As to a method aspect, a method (200) of selectively transmitting a skip signal indicative of skipping a downlink control channel comprises or initiates determining (202), for the radio device (791; 792; 830), whether a criterion for at least one of skipping the downlink control channel and transmitting the skip signal indicative of skipping the downlink control channel is fulfilled. The method (200) further comprises or initiates transmitting (204), to the radio device (791; 792; 830), the skip signal indicative of skipping the downlink control channel if the criterion has been determined (202) to be fulfilled for a predefined duration.

摘要: A user equipment (UE) is configured to calibrate a receiver during operation in a wireless network. The UE comprises a radio transceiver configured to communicate with the wireless network; and processing circuitry operatively associated with the radio transceiver. The transceiver is arranged to receive a first reference signal associated with a first reception condition, receive a second reference signal associated with a second reception condition, and then either receive a third reference signal, when the processing circuitry determines that the conditions of the first and second reception conditions differ above a first threshold, and receive a message with receiver settings based on reception conditions of the third reference signal, or receive the message with a receiver setting based on receiver conditions of any one of the first and the second reference signals, when the processing circuitry determines that the conditions of the first and second reception conditions differ below the first threshold, enabling omitting reception of the third reference signal. A method and computer program are also disclosed.

摘要: A method of signal block reception with automatic gain control (AGC) for a receiver is disclosed. The receiver is configured for at least a sleep mode and an active mode. The signal blocks are non-adjacent in time, and each signal block is configured to be received in entirety using a valid AGC setting determined based on a previous signal block. The method comprises, when switching from the sleep mode to the active mode for continuous reception of a signal block, receiving a first set of samples of the signal block, determining an applicable AGC setting based on the first set of samples of the signal block, and receiving a second set of samples of the signal block using the applicable AGC setting determined based on the first set of samples. Corresponding apparatus, receiver, wireless communication device and computer program product are also disclosed.

摘要: Systems and methods for employing a paging early indicator (PEI) for power savings in an idle mode wireless communication device. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving, from a network node, information that configures one or more PEI occasions prior to a paging occasion (PO) of the wireless communication device and making a determination as to whether to monitor for a PEI in the one or more PEI occasions or to skip monitoring for a PEI in the one or more PEI occasions. The method further comprises either monitoring for a PEI in the one or more PEI occasions or skipping monitoring for a PEI in the one or more PEI occasions, in accordance with the determination. In this manner, utilization of PEI monitoring at the wireless communication device is optimized to achieve UE power savings.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for wireless device (WD)-autonomous physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) receiver (RX) antenna adaptation. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a WD includes one or more of: estimating an expected number of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layers based at least in part on channel state information (CSI) and/or a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration; determining a set of antennas of a plurality of antennas to use based at least in part on the estimated expected number of MIMO layers; and/or receiving a MIMO signal using the determined set of antennas. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a network node include receiving a channel state information (CSI) report from the WD; and/or scheduling and/or transmiffing a downlink (DL) channel to the WD using a number of multiple-input multiple-output (M11\40) layers, the number of MIMO layers used based at least in part on the received CSI report.
