Abstract: Mounting clamps may be utilized to quickly and easily secure solar panel modules relative to mounting rails, which may in turn be secured relative to a mounting surface (e.g., a roof). The mounting clamps may be configured to quickly secure the solar pane modules relative to the mounting rails by tightening a tightening element to pull a clamp element toward the surface of a mounting rail, thereby clamping a portion (e.g., a frame) of a solar panel module between the clamping element and an outer surface of the mounting rail.

Abstract: A solar panel mounting configuration comprises a flashing component that at least partially contours to a support surface, an adapter base, and a mounting foot. The flashing component defines a domed portion having an open interior surface accessible via a bottom surface of the flashing component. The adapter base is configured to fit within the domed portion and defines a plurality of apertures. A central aperture is configured to accept a fastener extending through the adapter foot, through a flashing aperture, and the central aperture of the adapter foot. The fastener may extend into the support surface. Alternatively, a plurality of fasteners may extend through peripheral apertures of the plurality of apertures of the adapter base, and a separate fastener may extend through the central aperture to secure the mounting foot relative to the adapter base.
