A telephone communication method and system for retrieving and providing advertisement information that matches a communication terminal user's preference as to advertisement information. The telephone communication method of the invention is a method of providing the communication terminal with one or more pieces of advertisement information via a telephone network. This method obtains a plurality of pieces of advertisement information from an advertiser terminal prior to provision of the advertisement information on one hand, and obtains user-related information from the user's communication terminal as a retrieval condition for retrieval of the advertisement information on the other hand. The method then transmits to the communication terminal at least one piece of advertisement information retrieved from a plurality of pieces of advertisement information on the basis of the user-related information.

A navigation system of a hybrid car retrieves a route to detect whether any restricted area forbidden for automobiles that emit exhaust gases is on the route or not. Before the hybrid car arrives at the restricted area, an electric motor is driven by a gasoline engine portion to charge a battery portion. After the hybrid car arrives at the restricted area, only the electric motor is operated by electric power of the battery portion so that the hybrid car can pass through the restricted area. As a result, the hybrid car can arrive at a destination by the shortest distance without bypassing the restricted area, and the environment of the restricted area can be protected because the gasoline engine portion is not operated in the restricted area.

A road status data providing system includes a server for transmitting/receiving data via a communication line and a plurality of vehicle terminals. The server includes a transmitting/receiving unit for transmitting/receiving data to and from the plurality of vehicle terminals, a vehicle trend management database for managing vehicle trends of the plurality of vehicle terminals, and a totaling unit for totaling status data indicative of a status of vehicles at a prescribed point on the basis of the vehicle trend management database. Each of the vehicle terminals includes a transmitting/receiving unit for transmitting/receiving data to and from the server, a present position determining unit for determining the present position of the vehicle, and a creating unit for creating status data requesting information for acquiring the status data at the prescribed point.

An electrical junction box for a vehicle has a connector module providing connection to an electrical connector, a fuse module providing connection to a plurality of fuses, and a relay module providing connection to a plurality of relays. The connector module has a plurality of insulation substrates stacked one on another to form a layered assembly having a pair of main faces and a plurality of sides, and bus bars on the insulation substrates providing first welding tabs which are aligned with one another in at least one linear row adjacent one of the sides of the layered assembly. The fuse module has one or more insulation substrates and bus bars providing projecting second welding tabs confronting the welding tabs of the connector module. The relay module has an insulation substrate and bus bars providing third welding tabs also confronting the welding tabs of the connector module. The second and third welding tabs are welded to the first tabs to effect connection of the circuits.

An information serving system includes a broadcasting station module (TV), user module (RV), and advertising agency module (AD). The broadcasting station module (TV) broadcasts pieces of broadcast information including at least video information. The user module (RV) receives the broadcast information, selects an image component composing an image from the received broadcast information, and produces specification information indicative of the selected image component. The user module (RV) transmits the produced specification information, while receiving component information to represent the received component information. The advertising company module (AD) acquires the specification information, and transmits to the user module (RV) the component information indicating an image component specified by the acquired specification information. This allows a viewer viewing a broadcasted program to acquire detailed information about a desired image component in an easier and quicker manner, thus enhancing usability of a broadcasting business.

To provide a communication navigation system capable of operating a plurality of communication navigation terminal apparatuses in synchronization and switching among them while maintaining settings related to navigation. A navigation system is comprised of an information server apparatus, a portable terminal apparatus and a vehicle terminal apparatus for performing a navigation process, and when switching a movable body for performing the navigation, it switches a sending destination of navigation data such as map information, that is, a terminal apparatus while maintaining settings such as the destination information before connecting so as to continuously conduct the navigation such as route searching and route guidance.

An electrical junction box for a vehicle has a connector module for connection in use to electrical connectors, a fuse module carrying fuses, and a relay module connected to relays. The connector module includes circuit plates stacked one on another to form a layered assembly which is mounted vertically. The fuse module has a circuit plate and is mounted at a lower opening of a casing so that it is accessible for insertion and removal of fuses. The circuit plate of the fuse module is perpendicular to the main faces of the layered assembly. A compact construction permitting easy access to the fuses is obtained.
Abstract:
A wire box including a main box having an outer surface with a water outlet therein. A wall is provided around the periphery of the outlet and projects outwardly from the surface in a direction substantially perpendicular thereto. There is a closure on the end of the wall furthest from the main box. There is at least one opening in the wall which communicates between the outlet and the exterior of the box. It is more desirable if there is a protective rib adjacent the opening and spaced apart therefrom a distant sufficient to allow water to run out of the opening. The form of the closure may be widely varied so that there is no direct path into and out of the main box for water to follow.
