Abstract:
An electrophotographic copying machine capable of editing function comprising: a table for setting a document; scan means for scanning the document; first input means for providing first and second data to specify positions in the scanning direction; second input means for providing third and fourth data to specify positions in the direction perpendicular to the scanning direction; memory means for storing the provided data, which comprises a first memory area for storing smaller data provided by the first input means, a second memory area for storing larger data provided by the first input means, third memory area for storing smaller data provided by the second input means, and a fourth memory area for storing larger data provided by the second input means; a means for specifying an area on the basis of the data stored in the memory means; and copying means for reproducing a image of the document corresponding to the specified area.
Abstract:
A copying machine capable of correctly counting the number of printed copying papers, and which is capable of interrupting the counting task when some copying papers stored in an intermediate storage unit or marking papers for classifying printed copying papers are discharged without forming any image thereon.
Abstract:
A copying apparatus capable of performing a first copy operation and a second copy operation on a sheet of copy paper in a duplex copy mode or a composite copy mode, a first group of input copy conditions are set to a first predetermined state if the second copy operation does not start within a first predetermined period of time after the first copy operation, and a second group of input copy operations are set to a second predetermined state if the first copy operation of the subsequent cycle does not start within a second predetermined period of time after the second copy operation, the first predetermined period of time being longer than the second predetermined period of time.
Abstract:
A copying apparatus comprises a plurality of sheet storing trays, a detector for detecting a quantity of sheets of paper in each tray, and an indicator. The indicator displays a capacity of a tray selected for copy operation and also displays the remaining quantity of sheets in that tray in response to the detector.
Abstract:
A copying apparatus comprises at least one sheet storing tray, at least one detector for detecting a quantity of sheets of paper in a tray, and an indicator. The indicator can display a capacity of a tray selected for copy operation and can also display a remaining quantity of sheets in that tray in response to the detector.
Abstract:
A copying machine capable of correctly counting the number of printed copying papers, more specifically, capable of interrupting the counting task when some copying papers stored in the intermediate storage unit or marking papers for classifying printed copying papers are discharged without forming any image thereon.
Abstract:
A photocopying apparatus has the capacity to edit desired portions of a document image onto copying paper. A memory is provided for storing area data specifying a specific area of the document. Coordinates of the specific area can be reset in an initial value memory upon the operator selection of an edition mode to facilitate easy selection of a desired portion of the document image.
Abstract:
A copying apparatus, having an editing function, charges a rotating photoconductive drum 61 by chargers 63 and 65 and forms an electrostatic latent image on the photoconductive drum 61 by projecting an image of a document on the drum 61, whereby the electrostatic latent image is developed by toner. An erasure array 4 including LED elements is provided close to the photoconductive drum 61. In an edit copy mode, data for specifying a region to be copied on the document is inputted by using keys on an operation panel. As a result, the erasure array 4 removes the electric charge on a region of the photoconductive drum 61 corresponding to the specified region prior to exposure, whereby the electrostatic latent image can be prevented from being formed on this region. At this time, a control apparatus controls the extent of emission of light of the erasure array 4 and the timing for the emission of light of the erasure array 4 based on the input data, thereby to prevent occurrence of deviation in boundary portions of the region defined in the edit copy mode.
Abstract:
A copying apparatus of the present invention is capable of executing, for example, a duplex-simplex copy mode wherein images on both sides of an original are respectively copied on one side of a different copy paper and a simplex-simplex copy mode wherein an original with an image on one side is copied to one side of a single copy paper. The copying apparatus is further capable of executing a shift mode for controlling the relative position between the images on the original and those on the copy paper if the original represents a binding margin in the duplex-simplex copy mode. This shift mode is released when the simplex-simplex copy mode is selected.
Abstract:
A copying machine capable of forming filing margins on both sides of a copying paper forms a filing margin on one side of a copying paper by an ordinary method in which an image of document to be copied is reduced and shifted, and forms a filing margin on the other side of the copying paper by means of shifting the image in a direction opposite to the direction shifted in the ordinary method by the width of the filing margin. Accordingly, filing margins are correctly formed on both sides of the copying paper in the same marginal sides, respectively.
