Abstract: The invention relates to the field of individual hygiene and in particular disinfecting nonwoven articles. A dry antibacterial article comprising at least a dispersible nonwoven layer is characterized in that unprotected and dry bacterial spores are spread within the nonwoven layer, said spores being selected to specifically inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria upon reactivation. The invention further relates to the use of the antibacterial article, a dispenser for wipes made from the article as well as manufacturing processes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to multi-layered non-woven structures being useful as components of disposable absorbent articles and garments comprising super absorbent particles and thereby acts as a core. The invention thereby ensures that the body fluids can penetrate from a first layer, which acts as an acquisition layer, up to a third layer comprising SAP particles, the second non-woven layer serving to decrease the fluid volume per surface unit, as a conventional dispersion layer. However the second layer of the invention additionally acts like a non-return valve, preventing, or at least strongly limiting, any fluid transfer from the third layer to the first layer. Channels free of SAP can additionally be design to improve the inlet and rewet properties of the multilayer acquisition and distribution sheet non-woven material.

Abstract: Contrary to packagings or bottles made of pure materials like PET, nonwovens usually consist of a mix of materials and are as such difficult to include in a recycling process. The present invention relates to a method for recycling polyester-based nonwovens comprising 5 to 50% of PET/coPET low melt staple fibers into polyester staple fibers (PSF), and further including these fibers into new nonwovens for a large variety of articles for applications in virtually any technical field.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing a nonwoven sheet material having an impermeable layer on one side and an anti-slip coating on the other side includes carding fibers with a common general orientation and forming a web. The fibers are bonded into a nonwoven sheet material. An anti-slip coating is applied onto one surface of the material. A polymer is applied onto the second surface of the nonwoven material. The orientation of the fibers is maintained during the entier process.
