Abstract: Systems and methods are presented that problems with medication nonadherence by securely providing prescription medications directly to a discharging patient while also providing a session with a prescription consultant for any required or requested consultation. In an arrangement, an automated mobile robot (AMR) securely transports prescription drugs or medications from the pharmacy to a patient discharge location. In one arrangement, a discharging patient utilizes a telemedicine interface supported by the AMR to have a remote consultation session with a pharmacist. Once the remote consultation is performed, the patient may be provided access to prescription medicines secured within the AMR.
