摘要: A method for evaluating an electric power storage device includes causing a short circuit by inserting an electrically conductive probe into a stacked portion in a thickness direction of electrode layers; measuring a penetration depth of the probe after the short circuit occurs; and evaluating the number of electrode layers involved in the short circuit based on the penetration depth. The penetration depth is identified by measuring a length of an adhesion portion in an axial direction of the probe. The adhesion portion is a portion of a surface of the probe to which a constituent material of the stacked portion adheres.

摘要: A cell, which is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, includes: an electrode assembly including a plurality of sheet-shaped positive electrodes and a plurality of sheet-shaped negative electrodes, the plurality of positive electrodes and the plurality of negative electrodes being alternately stacked with separators interposed therebetween; and a battery case that houses the electrode assembly. The electrode assembly includes: an outer layer including a positive electrode arranged on an outermost side of the electrode assembly, and a separator adjacent to the positive electrode; and an inner layer arranged on an inner side of the outer layer. The outer layer includes a fusing member configured to fuse due to heat generation in the electrode assembly caused by a short circuit in the electrode assembly. The inner layer does not include the fusing member.

摘要: (a) A power storage device is prepared. (b) An evaluation jig is prepared. The evaluation jig includes an insulating tubular member and a conductive needle-shaped member. (c) A charge level of the power storage device is adjusted. (d) A positive electrode or a negative electrode is selected as a reference electrode. (e) An operation to insert the evaluation jig into the power storage device is performed. (f) The insertion operation is controlled to stop the tubular member when a tip end of the needle-shaped member comes in contact with an electrode different from the reference electrode. (g) Short-circuiting through the needle-shaped member is caused. (h) The power storage device is evaluated based on a state of the short-circuiting power storage device.

摘要: A method of evaluating a power storage device includes at least [a] to [f] below. [a] A power storage device is prepared. [b] A charge level of the power storage device is adjusted to produce a first potential difference between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. [c] The positive electrode or the negative electrode is selected as a reference electrode. [d] After the charge level is adjusted, an operation to insert a conductive rod-shaped member into a stack portion along a direction of stack of the positive electrode and the negative electrode is performed while a second potential difference between the reference electrode and the rod-shaped member is measured. [e] The rod-shaped member is stopped. [f] The power storage device is evaluated based on a state of the power storage device after the rod-shaped member is stopped.

摘要: An all-solid-state battery includes a solid electrode body including a positive electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode layer, and a laminate film that stores the solid electrode body. The laminate film has a fragile part with respect to a needle-like foreign substance. The strength of the fragile part is lower than the strength of a part of the laminate film other than the fragile part.
