Abstract: A method is performed at a terminal for locking a target in a game application, the method comprising: obtaining input gesture information from a user on an operation interface of a game application; recognizing the gesture information to obtain a switching instruction of the game application corresponding to the gesture information; selecting an object category of virtual characters according to the switching instruction; locking a target virtual character in the object category according to a preset rule and performing an operation on the target virtual character; and marking the target virtual character that has been locked using a first indicator and a second target virtual character that has not been locked using a second indicator visually distinct from the first indicator.

Abstract: An information processing method, comprising: displaying, in a game user interface, a first game scene; displaying a skill selection object in the game user interface, the skill selection object includes a plurality of skill slots, and each slot includes a respective skill of a plurality of skills, wherein a total number of skill slots in the skill selection object is smaller than a total number of skills in the plurality of skills; while displaying the skill selection object, detecting a swipe gesture across a predefined region; in response: ceasing to display at least one of skills currently displayed in the skill selection object, and replacing the at least one skill with at least another skill among the plurality of skills that was not displayed in the skill selection object when the swipe gesture was detected.

Abstract: A touchscreen-based control method is performed at a terminal having one or more processors, memory for storing programs, and a touchscreen, the method including: detecting a first touch point acting on a first icon displayed on the touchscreen; in response to detecting the first touch point, displaying an auxiliary control region and a candidate effect range region on the touchscreen, an area of the candidate effect range region being greater than an area of the auxiliary control region and establishing a mapping relationship between a location of the candidate effect range region and a location of the auxiliary control region; obtaining a first effect range according to a location of the first touch point when the first touch point is moved into the auxiliary control region; and performing, on a virtual target in the obtained first effect range, a first operation corresponding to the first icon.

Abstract: A method for releasing virtual skill object based on user gesture is provided. A user character object is rendered in a GUI. The user character object can perform a virtual operation according to an input user command. A skill operation trigger gesture on at least one skill object available to be released by the user character object is detected in a skill operation area in the GUI. Movement of the skill object and a release location of the skill object is determined according to a skill release trigger gesture. A distance between the release location and the user character object is determined. When the distance is greater than a skill release distance, the user character object is adjusted to move towards the release location. A skill release operation on the skill object is performed based on the release location when detecting a skill operation release gesture on the skill object.
