    摘要: Systems and methods are provided for controlling implementation of network policies in a system including a core network and an open radio access network (O-RAN). The method includes receiving a request for accessing one of multiple network components from an application at a centralized network policy controller. The method additionally includes evaluating the request at the central network policy controller to determine if the request is core related or RAN related and assigning the application to a selected one of the multiple network components based on the evaluation, wherein the selected one is a core component when the request is core-related and the selected one is a RAN component when the request is RAN-related.

    摘要: A wireless access point serves dynamic direction-of-arrival reception. An access point radio wirelessly receives a wireless signal that transports time-domain data. Access point circuitry determines uplink utilization for the access point radio. The circuitry transforms the time-domain data into frequency-domain data. The circuitry filters the frequency-domain data for one direction-of-arrival responsive to the uplink utilization. The circuitry synthesizes the time-domain data from the filtered frequency-domain data. The radio wirelessly receives another wireless signal that transports additional time-domain data. The circuitry determines a higher uplink utilization for the access point radio. The circuitry transforms the additional time-domain data into additional frequency-domain data. The circuitry filters the additional frequency-domain data for multiple directions-of-arrival responsive to the higher uplink utilization. The circuitry synthesizes the additional time-domain data from the filtered additional frequency-domain data.

    摘要: A wireless user device uses a wireless network slice. The wireless user device identifies a slice type for the wireless user device. The wireless user device identifies frequency bands available to the wireless user device. The wireless user device identifies at least one of a mobility condition of the wireless user device, loading levels for the frequency bands, and interference levels for the frequency bands. The wireless user device selects one of the frequency bands based on the slice type and at least one of the mobility condition, the interference levels, and the loading levels. The wireless user device requests the slice type and the selected one of the frequency bands. The wireless user device exchanges user data with the wireless network slice over the selected one of the frequency bands.

    摘要: In a wireless network, a Distributed Unit (DU) receives Uplink (UL) data from User Equipment (UE) and a Central Unit (CU) receives Downlink (DL) data for the UE. When DL-centric applications in the UE use the DL, the CU executes most network applications and the DU executes a few network applications. When the DL-centric applications use the UL, the DU executes the network applications and the CU transfers the UL data to the core. When UL-centric applications in the UE use the DL, the CU routes the DL data to the DU, and the DU executes the network applications. When the UL-centric applications use the UL, the DU executes a few network applications and the CU executes most network applications to route the data to the core. Advantageously, the DU and the CU are optimized to process UL/DL data for a user application based on whether the user application is UL-centric or DL-centric.

    摘要: User circuitry within a wireless User Equipment (“UE”) that may utilize multiple subscriber identity module (“SIM”) profiles activates two or more SIM profiles to be active simultaneously. The user circuitry transfers service requests for wireless data services using the SIM profiles to network circuitry. The wireless data services may have different slice service types over different operating frequency bands of different target cells. The network circuitry wirelessly exchanges data with wireless access nodes associated with the target cells over the operating frequency bands to establish packet data unit sessions comprising the slice service types using the respective SIM profiles such that multiple packet data unit sessions are active using multiple SIM profiles simultaneously. Various applications may be mapped to the appropriate SIM profile and packet data unit session based on the respective provisioned slice characteristics matching the respective application requirements.
