Abstract:
A device may include a digital camera that includes a stereo camera pair of a first camera and a second camera, and a system control that is capable of turning the first camera and the second camera on and off separately. Additionally, the device may include a processor to receive a first image via the first camera, and detect a scene type associated with the first image. The device may also determine whether the scene type is amenable to stereo capture and perform parallax difference detection to detect whether the first image is capable of being resolved correctly. The device may perform stereo image capture of the first image and the second image via the stereo camera pair in response to a determination that the first image is capable of being resolved correctly.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for providing a representation of orientation and movement of an item being moved in space by a user of the item. The user is wearing a wearable electronic device being physically separate from the item. The item comprises an item memory storing item defining data and a device communication unit. The wearable electronic device comprises an item communication unit, adapted to receive data from the device communication unit, and an orientation and movement detector. The method comprises retrieving, at the wearable electronic device, item defining data from the item; registering, at the wearable electronic device, orientation and movement of the wearable electronic device during user movement of the item; and computing, at a first processor, the representation of orientation and movement of the item based on the item defining data and the registered orientation and movement of the wearable electronic device.

Abstract:
A method for generating a profile for a user based on the user's behaviour and altering a setup of at least one computer program based on the generated user profile. The generic user profile for a user may be updated to include information from a similar user (e.g., a user having similar preferences). Using information from similar users allows for a generic user profile to be generated using information extracted from applications (e.g., both social media and games) and/or based on the behaviour of connections (e.g., social media contact, etc.). The generated generic user profile may be used to change the set-up for applications (e.g., executed/stored on the user's mobile device).
