摘要： An infrastructure equipment that transmits a radio network identifier to a communications device for identifying the communications device when allocating communications resources of the wireless access interface for transmitting downlink data to the communications device. After the communications device has entered an inactive connected state, the infrastructure equipment transmits control signals including the radio network identifier for allocating communications resources of the wireless access interface for the communications device to receive downlink data, determine whether the communications device is still within a radio coverage area of the infrastructure equipment, and if the communications device has left the coverage area, transmit an indication to the one or more other infrastructure equipment via the inter-connecting interface to trigger a process for transmitting downlink data to the communications device from the one or more other infrastructure equipment.

摘要： A wireless telecommunications system including a terminal device; first infrastructure equipment operable to communicate with the terminal device using a first radio access technology (RAT) and second infrastructure equipment operable to communicate with the terminal device using a second RAT. During a handover procedure for handover from the first infrastructure equipment as a source master infrastructure equipment to a third infrastructure equipment as a target master infrastructure equipment, the second infrastructure equipment is operable to communicate with the third infrastructure equipment using an interface associated with the second RAT so as to allow information necessary for completing the handover to be exchanged between the first infrastructure equipment and the third infrastructure equipment via the second infrastructure equipment.

摘要： A method of communicating data between a radio network infrastructure and a terminal device in a wireless telecommunications network. The method comprises establishing at a radio network infrastructure element there is data available for communication between the radio network infrastructure and the terminal device and transmitting a paging message for the terminal device from the radio network infrastructure element. The paging message comprises an indication of an identifier for the terminal device and an indication of a network allocated resource for use in subsequently communicating the data between the radio network infrastructure element and the terminal device. In response to receiving the paging message the terminal device transmits to the radio network infrastructure element a paging response indicating the terminal device received the paging message, after which the data is communicated between the radio network infrastructure element and the terminal device using the network allocated resource.
