摘要: A network node (12, 17) dynamically configures and controls assistance information transmissions by wireless communications devices (14) in a wireless communications system (10). The assistance information facilitates performance of power saving adaptations for the wireless communications device (14). The network node (12, 17) configures what information to indicate in assistance information messages, how the message is sent by wireless communications devices (14), and/or when the message should be signaled. The wireless communications devices (14) transmit assistance information messages in accordance with configuration parameters signaled by the network node (12, 17).

摘要: The media production element (12) combines media content from a plurality of streaming electronic devices when they are registered to be within the same streaming event. The media production element (12) can produce a combined live video stream or a combined media production using selections and combinations of the streamed content provided by the multiple electronic devices. A network assistance device (42) can determine event-coordinated uplink network assistance data with the goal of prioritizing resource allocation to clients/electronic devices that currently are used for the combined media production, and assign less resources to those that are not currently used. Rather than optimizing individual links, the event-coordinated uplink network assistance data is determined by taking the aggregated capacity and the production needs of the media production element (12) into account.

摘要: A method includes, by using a first data connection (160) between a network (100) and a terminal (102), communicating, from a network node (112) of the network (100) to the terminal (102), a downlink control message (452) indicative of a timing (501) of a reserved resource (258) reserved for communication between the network (100) and the terminal (102). The reserved resource (258) is dimensioned based on a predicted size of a data transmission (401-403, 405-407) predicted by the network (100). The method also includes performing a connection release (453) of the first data connection (160). The method also includes, in accordance with the timing (501) and using the reserved resource (258), performing a network access (454) to establish a second data connection (160) between the terminal (102) and the network (100).

摘要: The invention is directed to allowing network base stations to receive information from mobile communication terminals about terminal-detected usage of unlicensed band utilization, e.g., due to uncoordinated short-range wireless communication usage in combination with LTE deployments in unlicensed bands. The present invention introduces additional information into automatic neighbor relation (ANR) reporting. The additional information comprises information associated with the unlicensed band utilization. The additional information enables a base station scheduler (e.g., an LTE base station scheduler) associated with a base station to take radio access technology (RAT) utilization other than cellular utilization (e.g., 2G, 3G, LTE, etc.) into account in order to decrease in-device coexistence issues and increase unlicensed band system capacity.

摘要: A terminal, and a control method for a terminal in a wireless communication system including a network of base stations, operating under extended discontinuous reception. The method comprises the steps of performing discontinuous reception of signals from a serving base station so as to listen for a paging message, with a reception periodicity having a first interval; performing radio link measurements so as to determine the need for cell selection, with a measurement periodicity having a second interval; wherein the second interval is shorter than the first interval.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for operating a terminal device (106) of a wireless communication system (100). The terminal device (106) is connected to a base station (101) of the wireless communication system (100). According to the method, an intermediate node functionality is provided at the terminal device (106). The intermediate node functionality is configured to forward communication data received from the base station (101) to a further terminal device (107) and to forward communication data received from the further terminal device (107) to the base station (101). Upon receiving a permission from the base station (101) to activate the intermediate node functionality, the terminal device (106) activates the intermediate node functionality.

摘要: Communication between a cellular network (102) and a communication device (101) occurs in a first frequency band (111) and a second frequency band (112), 102 the second frequency band (112) being at least partly different from the first frequency band (111). A data packet is sent in the first frequency band (111). Depending on an acknowledgment of receipt of the data packet, the data packet is selectively sent in the second frequency band (112).
