    Abstract: An infrastructure equipment forming part of a wireless communications network is provided. The infrastructure equipment comprises transceiver circuitry configured to transmit signals to and to receive signals from communications devices via a wireless access interface provided by the wireless communications network, and controller circuitry. The controller circuitry is configured in combination with the transceiver circuitry to determine a delay time for each of a plurality of communications devices, the delay time being a time taken for the each of the communications devices to receive signals transmitted by the infrastructure equipment, to set a playback time dependent on a longest of the delay times among the plurality of communications devices, the playback time being a time at which one or more of the communications devices should transmit a signal, and to transmit signals to each of the communications devices, the signals comprising an indication of the playback time.

    Abstract: A method of controlling communications within a wireless communications network is provided. The method comprises in advance of transmitting the data by a child node to a donor node, configuring, by one of the donor node and a parent node, a Buffer Status Report, general BSR timer for the child node, the general BSR timer being common and synchronised among at least a subset of a plurality of infrastructure equipment, receiving, at the parent node, subsequent to expiry of the general BSR timer, a signal comprising a BSR from the child node indicating an amount of uplink data that the child node has ready to transmit to the parent node, and scheduling, by the parent node, in accordance with the BSR received from the child node, communications resources of the backhaul communications link to the child node in which the child node is to transmit the uplink data.

    Abstract: A method for operating an infrastructure equipment forming part of a wireless communications network is provided. The wireless communications network comprises a base station and a non-terrestrial network part, the non-terrestrial network part transmitting one or more spot beams to provide a wireless access interface for transmitting signals to and receiving signals representing data from a communications device within a coverage region of a cell or one of the spot beams, the spot beam forming a cell. The method comprises transmitting, to the communications device, an indication of a first condition to be met before the communications device should transmit assistance information to the infrastructure equipment, receiving the assistance information from the communications device upon the first condition being met, determining, based on the assistance information, that a cell change of the communications device should be initiated, and initiating the cell change of the communications device.

    Abstract: A method for use in a mobile communications network, the mobile communications network comprising a plurality of infrastructure equipment each providing wireless connectivity within at least one cell, and a communications device configured to communicate wirelessly with at least a first of the infrastructure equipment including by the use of a radio bearer, the method comprising the first infrastructure equipment determining that there is a requirement to alter data handling resources allocated for handling the radio bearer in one or both of the first infrastructure equipment and the communications device, re-establishing, in response to the determination, its radio link control protocol layer, transmitting a reconfiguration message to the communications device to effect re-establishment of its radio link control protocol layer, and subsequently effecting a change in the header of data packets transmitted to the communications device.

    Abstract: A method of operating a terminal device supporting a plurality of positioning techniques which use positioning measurements made by the terminal device and positioning assistance information received from a location server to determine the location of the terminal device.     Abstract: A communications device can identify one or more sections of plural predetermined sections, divided into time-units, of shared communications resources of a wireless access interface for transmitting data signals to one or more other communications device. The communications device detects whether another of the one or more communications devices are transmitting signals in one or more of the identified sections of the shared communications resources in at least one time divided unit, and if signals transmitted by another of the communications devices are not detected, the device transmits signals in the identified one or more predetermined sections of the shared communications resources for at least one of the time divided units, and then, after a collision avoidance time, detects for at least one subsequent time unit whether another of the one or more communications devices transmits signals in one or more of the identified sections of the shared communications resources.
