    摘要： The invention provides novel compositions that can be used as a supplement (e.g. feed supplement) to animals such as, horses. In certain embodiments, the composition comprises an effective amount of a preparation obtained from sea buckthorn and an effective amount of an amino acid. In other embodiments, the composition includes specific combinations of components selected from the group of a preparation obtained from sea buckthorn, glutamine, aloe vera extract, pectin, and lecithin. The invention also provides methods and uses of the composition for alleviating, treating or preventing an ulcer-related condition in a subject identified in need thereof.
