Abstract:
A method and system for visual content authoring and user interface thereof. An authoring interface, comprising a plurality button controls, is first provided. Required play items are added using the button controls to generate a playlist, and a navigation path is then defined according to the play items and the playlist. Next, the media objects and the navigation path are compiled to generate a disc image file, including a plurality of video clips, each comprising a plurality of PGCs with an unlimited number of playlists and play items.

Abstract:
The invention relates to building spherical panoramas for image-based virtual reality systems. The image-based spherical panoramas can be navigated in any desired view direction (360-degrees) by suitable three-dimensional image browsers or viewers. The method and system also includes computing the number of photographs required to be taken and the azimuth angle of the center point of each photograph for building a spherical environment map representative of the spherical panorama. The method and system also includes an algorithm for computing the accurate azimuth angles of these taken photographs and seaming them together to build the spherical environment map.

Abstract:
A process for producing dried meat is disclosed. First, a raw meat is sliced into a sliced meat having a thickness less than 1 cm. Then, the sliced meat is allowed to release salt soluble protein in an amount of 1.5 to 5.5 wt % of the total weight of the sliced meat. Then, the sliced meat is reformed into a reformed meat loaf. Finally, the reformed meat loaf is frozen, sliced, dried, and baked to obtain a reformed dried meat. The manual cost can be effectively saved and the chance of pollution can be reduced. Also, the obtained reformed dried meat has fibrous properties, and the appearance and eating quality are very close to those of the dried meat product obtained from conventional processes.
Abstract:
A pair of images are stitched together by warping the pair of images into an environment map representative of a panoramic image. A first edge and a corresponding second edge for each of the first and second images, respectively, are detected. A set of edge position coordinates along the edge of the first warped image is determined. A set of possible matched solutions from the edge position coordinates of the first and second edge are generated. An optimum matched offset from the set of possible matched solutions is determined. Because the set of possible matched solutions is small and compact, the optimum matched offset can be determined efficiently from the set of solutions.
