    Abstract: A nuclear medicine diagnostic apparatus for breast examination capable of diagnosing the entire breast of an examinee while the breast is in a free drooping state regardless of a drooping state of the examinee's breast, and a distance adjustment apparatus for the nuclear medicine diagnostic apparatus for breast examination to be used for the nuclear medicine diagnostic apparatus for breast examination are provided. When an examinee's breast does not fit within a radiation detection range of a radiation detection unit, a distance adjustment member including a first part, a second part and a third part is placed on a placement unit, and an examinee M is placed in a prone position on the distance adjustment member. Then, the breast of the examinee M is caused to droop to the radiation detection range in the radiation detection unit via an opening formed in the second part.

    Abstract: An imaging apparatus that is easily moved between locations protects an imaging element in motion and provides a first arm member and a proximate movable second arm member. A lighting-imaging element is movably positionable proximate an arm mechanism and also proximate a rear-side location of a wheeled platform relative to a traveling direction thereby preventing damage. The first and second arm are relatively surrounded with a sub-arm and lighting-imaging element, thereby preventing further unintended movement. Accordingly, an elongating (separation) of the first and second arm members are prevented.

    Abstract: An image pickup apparatus for breast examination capable of reliably imaging an entire breast is provided. That is, according to this invention, a breast introduced into a detector ring can be placed reliably in a radiographic field of view of the apparatus. That is, the image pickup apparatus for breast examination according to this invention includes a support at an opening opposite to an opening at a side, where a breast of a patient is inserted, of a through-hole of the detector ring. A tip of the breast introduced into the detector ring is obstructed by this support, and cannot project outside the detector ring but contacts a contact surface located in the radiographic field of view. According to this invention, the tip of the breast does not project outside the radiographic field of view, and the breast introduced in the detector ring can be positioned reliably in the radiographic field of view of the apparatus.
