Abstract: A current detection circuit and method for protecting a speaker, and a chip are provided. The current detection circuit includes a current detection module and an analog-to-digital converter. The current detection module samples a current flowing through the speaker based on current mirror technology, and converts the current into a voltage to output a first voltage signal and a second voltage signal. The analog-to-digital converter converts the first voltage signal and the second voltage signal into a PDM code, to calculate a current parameter of the speaker.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a current detection circuit for a loudspeaker 500, comprising a first detection resistor RSP, a second detection resistor RSN, a sampling selection circuit 100, an input selection circuit 200, and a processing circuit 300. By adding the sampling selection circuit 100 and the input selection circuit 200, voltages on two ends of the corresponding detection resistors (RSP, RSN) are sampled according to the fact that potential differences of an output stage VOP and an output stage VON of a class-D audio power amplifier 400 are in different semi-periods, and the current of the loudspeaker 500 is obtained through processing, thereby detecting the current of the loudspeaker 500 without adding an anti-clipping distortion function to the class-D audio power amplifier 400.

Abstract: A detection circuit and an electronic device using the detection circuit are provided. The detection circuit includes a fourth branch, a fifth branch and a third energy storage unit. The fourth branch includes multiple fourth switches, and the fifth branch includes multiple fifth switches. A preset electrical signal threshold is sampled and applied to the third energy storage unit by controlling the multiple fourth switches in the fourth branch, and a voltage difference between two detection terminals of a first energy storage unit is sampled and applied to the third energy storage unit by controlling the multiple fifth switches in the fifth branch, to compare the voltage difference between the two detection terminals with the preset electrical signal threshold.
