Abstract:
Systems, methods, and apparatus relating to the use of Stirling engine technology to convert heat, such as from solar radiation, to mechanical work or electricity. Apparatus, systems, components, and methods relating to energy converting apparatus are described herein. In one aspect, the invention relates to the field alignment of panels and the assembly of a concentrator. In another aspect, a passive balancer is used in combination with a ring frame and other moving masses to reduce engine forces and vibration on the structure of the energy converting apparatus while maintaining properly constrained alignment of various suspended masses. In yet another aspect, the invention relates to various over-insolation control and management strategy to prevent overheating of the energy converting apparatus or components and subsystems thereof.
Abstract:
A method and device for checking clearance between a stamping die includes a template representative of relative movement between the stamping die and end tool. A template including a surface representing movement of the end tool relative to the stamping die is positioned relative to the stamping die. The position is indicative of a location of the end tool during operation of the stamping die. Contact between the template and the stamping die along the surface representing movement indicates potential contact between the end tool and the stamping die during operation.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments provide an improved pet watering device having an easily removable debris filter. For example, the device, in some examples, has a base portion separated into a bowl and a water storage section. The filter is selectively placeable in a channel connecting the bowl and the water storage section. In further embodiments, the device includes a water dispensing portion having a spout. At least one flow guide extends along the spout and helps guide water off the spout to reduce water braiding, which may reduce noise and splashing associated with the stream of water falling from the spout. Yet further embodiments provide a pet watering device that may be easily assembled and disassembled. In one example, the upper and lower portions of the watering device are connectable with a mating tab and slot structure.

Abstract:
A bending die having a first bending surface and a second bending surface that is rotatable with respect to the first bending surface. The second bending surface rotates with respect to the first bending surface during a bending operation. The first bending surface is engagable with a workpiece during the bending operation to bend a first portion of the workpiece. The second bending surface is engagable with the workpiece during the bending operation to bend a second portion of the workpiece. The first portion of the workpiece and the second portion of the workpiece are disposed on a first side of a bend line formed by the bending operation.

Abstract:
A rotary cam assembly for a bending die includes first and second arms pivotally attached to an actuator. Linear movement of the actuator causes rotation of the rotary cam relative to a bending cam. A rotatable element is supported between the first and second arms and guides along a cam surface of a fail-safe element mounted on an upper die. In the absence of actuator movement, the fail-safe element cause rotation of the rotary cam from a released position to a bending position ensuring proper position of the rotary cam relative to a bending cam.
